Glu Mobile, a leading creator and global publisher of mobile entertainment, today announced the appointment of Kirstie Milne as account management director for EMEA. Milne joins from established and well-respected console and PC publisher Eidos, where, as managing director of the UK office, she oversaw sales, marketing, distribution and logistics.

During her time at Eidos, Milne was a significant contributor to its success, helping to launch triple-A titles including Tomb Raider, Hitman, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and Championship Manager.

"As the mobile entertainment industry continues to expand and mature, it is imperative to find the right talent to stay at the cutting edge," said Chris Meredith, vice president of publishing for EMEA at Glu. "Kirstie adds knowledge, experience and imagination to the organisation, and we look forward to the contributions she will bring in developing and publishing the most exciting range of mobile games on the market today."

With deep experience in both account management and the games industry in general, Milne will be heading up all sales initiatives for EMEA, working with the rest of the publishing team to maximise sales opportunities across all EMEA territories.

Milne joined Eidos in 1998 as export sales manager and has spent the majority of her gaming career with the company. Prior to Eidos, Milne was UK sales manager at BMG Interactive.
