CARMAGEDDON SERIES CANNED BY EIDOS

According to a report on GamesIndustry.biz, Eidos has halted development of Carmageddon at Visual Science. The revival of the Carmageddon series, an SCi product prior to its acquisition of Eidos, is thought to have been in development for at least two years, having been mentioned in a financial report in 2003.

SCi, now trading under the Eidos brand, will next release Total Overdose in September 2005. The game is touted as a super-cool, tequila fuelled rampage through Mexico's gun-toting, drug-pushing underworld.
