RED CROSS RESPONDS
TO UK BOMBINGS

The British
Red Cross responded immediately to last week's
bombings, giving first aid and comfort to those
affected. Since then, volunteers and staff have
been providing assistance and supporting the Mayor's
appeal.
Following
a request from the London Ambulance Service, the
Red Cross deployed 25 ambulances to Euston, Russell
Square St Pancras, Marylebone and Edgware Road.
Red Cross volunteers were also at King's Cross
supporting shocked commuters trying to get out
of London.
Other
volunteers met returning commuters at railway
stations in the South East throughout Thursday
evening to provide comfort and practical support
where required.
