The British Monarch have agreed to let scenes from the upcoming Paramount Pictures production of Tomb Raider be filmed within the royal grounds of Windsor Great Park, confirming rumours that the Queen is a fan of Tomb Raider.

The majority of the £65 million production, starring Angelina Jolie, has been filmed in the jungles of Cambodia. However, a few more jungle shots are needed, and Her Majesty's woods have been cunningly and appropriately disguised. A chase scene will see Lara Croft blazing through the royal park in a customised Land Rover.

Permission to film in Windsor was previously granted to 1998's The Avengers, starring Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman. Jolie herself previously visited the park last year for the Cartier International polo event. On that occasion she was reported to have flounced out, disappointed by the lack of suitable A-list celebrities. Hopefully this time she'll have more fun.
