Eidos,
one of the world's leading publishers and developers
of entertainment software, announces that the
eagerly-awaited Championship Manager 5 TM will
be released in the UK on Friday 18th March and
internationally on Friday 1st April. PS2 and Xbox
versions will follow later this Spring. The game
has been developed by Beautiful Game Studios (BGS),
based in North London.
Championship
Manager was first released in 1992 and the series
has now sold more than 5 million copies worldwide.
Championship Manager 5 lets you choose a club
and manage it to glory, dealing with everything
from transfers and training, to tactics and the
media. The action can be viewed via a 2D match
engine enabling you to make tactical decisions
as the game unfolds. Championship Manager 5 is
the closest thing to real-life football management.
Championship
Manager 5 is the most realistic and engaging version
ever, using a completely new code-base which offers
major advances in the match engine, tactics and
training. CM5 will deliver the same depth and
detail as before, yet with much faster loading
and gameplay. The simulation uses multiple data
sources – fan scouts, internal researchers and
professional agencies including OptaTM – to ensure
greater objectiveness and accuracy of data than
ever before.
John
Webb, Championship Manager Brand Director at Eidos
says: "Championship Manager 5 represents a major
step-change for this award-winning franchise.
We've responded to consumer demands and delivered
a simulation with the realism and detail loved
of Championship Manager yet made it much faster
and more accessible. Championship Manager 5 delivers
for existing Championship Manager fans plus will
attract many new devotees to the brand."
