PR copy spotted on BBC suggests there may be life on the 'ol dog yet as the Tomb Raider movie - starring bee-stung-lipped beauty Angelina Jolie - earned a whopping 22.6 million viewers during the festive season, beaten only by Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Bend it like Beckham who claimed one and two position respectively.

The figures - released by the British Film Council - also indicated the top ten motion pictures on terrestrial TV during Christmas appeared on BBC One. But only 10 of the 176 films shown on BBC One, BBC Two, ITV1, Channel 4 and Five were recent UK films.
