Model
Nell McAndrew flashes a smile at phtographers
as she arrives at the royal premiere of Ladies
in Lavender. The film was played to a star-studded
audience at the Odeon Leicester Square, last night.
The event saw two dames of the acting world come
together to meet the royal guest of the movie,
the Queen. Dame Judi Dench and Dame Maggie Smith,
both 69, appear in the movie as two sedate spinsters
living in a post-war Cornish fishing village.
The
two play sisters whose lives are turned around
when they discover a handsome and charismatic
Polish castaway, played by Daniel Bruhl, on the
beach. The film is 58-year-old actor Charles Dance’s
directorial debut. He is renowned for roles as
villains in films like The Golden Child and Last
Action Hero. Receipts from the Royal Film Performance
at the Leicester Square Odeon in London were to
benefit the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund.
