It was
a close race for outstanding supporting actress
for this years Oscars, with strong performances
across the board. Chloe Sevigny, nominated for
her portrayal of Brandon's loyal girlfriend in
Boys Don't Cry, lost out to bisexual "bad girl"
Angelina Jolie for her turn as a sexy sociopath
in Girl, Interrupted.
Her acceptance
speech was the hot topic at the water cooler the
next morning, as folks questioned what she really
meant when she voiced her feelings about her brother
(and escort) Jamie, saying, "I'm so in love with
my brother right now." (Jolie later explained
in the press that her relationship with her brother
is strictly platonic.)
