The
exciting new course addresses the creativity element
of games development and affords potential careers
in design, sound design, writing and visual arts.
The course was devised in conjunction with Synergy
Learning owned by the University of Ulster and
formed in 1997. Course co-ordinator David Brockbank,
said: "We are absolutely delighted to have established
links with Eidos.
"Through
this partnership we hope to give our games development
students a unique insight into the world of entertainment
software at its most competitive level, organise
visits to Eidos (UK) and run Master Classes for
students. "Eidos is the largest video games developer
and publisher in the UK with publishing operations
across Europe, in the US, Japan and Australia
employing over 600 people worldwide. This is a
fantastic opportunity for our students".
