Pop trio,
Mis-Teeq, are the latest celebrities to promote
fresh milk under 'The White Stuff' milk moustache
campaign. The band follows a glittering array
of other celebrities, including Scottish Formula
1 driver David Coulthard, model, Nell McAndrew,
boy band, Blue, and, most recently, cartoon cat,
Garfield, to front the memorable campaign.
Alesha,
from the chart-topping band, said: "As a group,
we love milk and understand that it's good for
our bones as part of a healthy, balanced diet
- which is definitely something we need to consider
because we lead such hectic lifestyles. "It contains
so many vitamins and minerals and it tastes so
good, what more could you want?"
All material
featuring Mis-Teeq will carry the message that
semiskimmed milk is 98 per cent fatfree but is
still packed with essential vitamins and minerals.
It will also carry the green apple logo - the
mark of the Scottish Executive's ' healthyliving'
campaign. Sandy Wilkie, chairman of the Scottish
Dairy Marketing Company, said: "We are delighted
to have the girls from Mis-Teeq on board. They
are a very successful trio and we are sure their
involvement will definitely help boost young people's
interest in milk."
Gillian
Kynoch, Scotland's Food and Drink Co-Ordinator,
said: "The White Stuff Milk Moustache campaign
has helped promote the health benefits of milk
in both a fun and informative manner, which is
continuing to capture the imagination of young
people." Devised by the Scottish Dairy Marketing
Company and Milk Development Council, the milk
moustache campaign is designed to encourage people
to drink more milk and raise awareness of its
health benefits.
