Konoko, the star of Oni, has followed a recent trend amongst pop stars including Madonna and Kylie Minogue, by emblazoning the name of Eidos Interactives Lara Croft across her shirt. Gamespot UK, who broke the story this morning, mentions however that Konoko's pedigree in the gaming business is unproven and that this episode is clearly a PR stunt to try and garner publicity for her new game Oni, which is due for release first quarter of 2001.

Oni is a brand new 3D action adventure which blends heavy weaponry with hardcore martial arts combat and features a game engine capable of rendering multiple Anime environments.
