CAMBODIAN CITIZENSHIP

The US
hollywood star Angelina Jolie said here Tuesday
that she is proud and honored that Cambodian Prime
Minister Hun Sen will give her a Cambodian citizenship.
"He (Hun Sen) did mention to give me a Cambodian
citizenship and I am very honored," Jolie told
reporters after she met with Hun Sen on Tuesday.
"So I am sure and I am moving forward to actually
receiving that," she said. Jolie discussed on
Tuesday with Prime Minister Hun Sen about the
environment protection issues in Cambodia's Samlot
area where she has a home there.
After
the meeting, Hun Sen announced to cancel the planned
project to build a hydroelectricity in the area
of Samlot, instead to allow Jolie to preserve
the environment there. Jolie has played several
famous movies including the one in Cambodia, Tom
Raider. She also has a Cambodian adopted child
and is looking for someone to help teaching her
son Khmer in the United States and Europe. Jolie
often visit Cambodia and has been campaigning
on environmental issues. She will leave here on
Wednesday and be backin October. Enditem
