Academy Award Winner Angelina Jolie is once again climbing the adoption ladder amid reports her maternal instincts are this time swinging towards a Russian baby to complement her Cambodian adopted Son Maddox. According to the New York Post, a source close to the Tomb Raider star said: "By the end of the year, if everything goes well, she will have a new baby. Angelina has always wanted a rainbow family, children from all countries."

Angelina Jolie, an ambassador for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, adopted Cambodian son Maddox during her marriage to Billy Bob Thornton while touring the region to witness firsthand the deprivation and squalid conditions the people of the country experience. Jolie told German magazine Frau im Spiegel she wanted her son to have a normal upbringing, electing to school him in London, England, although maintained he would learn about his heritage and native Cambodian language Khmer.

Angelina Jolie is currently touring eastern Chad working alongside UNHCR's field staff in their efforts to assist the Sudanese refugees and move them to camps at a safer distance from the border. Ms. Jolie warned that UNHCR and non-government aid agencies were in "a race against time before the rainy season comes" later this month. "When the rains start to fall, the weak temporary structures in the makeshift shelters will be in danger of collapsing," she said warning that illnesses was likely to spread, especially among children, due to the breakdown of sanitation.
