Movie
fans can watch the first nine minutes and eight
seconds of Warner Bros. Pictures' and Village
Roadshow Pictures' upcoming thriller "Taking Lives,"
starring Angelina Jolie and Ethan Hawke, exclusively
online at Yahoo! (yahoo.com) for a limited time
beginning Friday, March 12th. The selected sequence
sets the story in motion by recounting details
of a serial killer's first crime, an impulsive
act that becomes the origin of a bizarre 20-year
spree of murder and stolen identities that will
ultimately require the skill and unique perspective
of one of the country's best FBI profilers (played
by Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie) to unravel.
"This
opening sequence is strong and lays the groundwork
for the thrills that are to come," says Mark Canton,
one of the "Taking Lives" producers. "By sharing
it with fans directly via the Internet, we're
able to show the scene in its entirety, unedited
and uninterrupted, which offers a real sense of
the mood and complexity of the film." The full
nine minute and eight second excerpt will be available
online exclusively at yahoo.com only from March
12th through the 18th, disappearing permanently
from the internet one day before "Taking Lives'"
March 19th North American release.
A taut
psychological thriller, "Taking Lives" is the
story of an FBI agent who becomes involved with
her key witness while tracking a serial killer
who assumes the lives and identities of the people
he kills. She finds herself surrounded by numerous
suspects and no one to trust.
