Sci Fi Channel's February schedule begins with the latest offering from the makers of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. Veritas: The Quest is an action-packed cross between Indiana Jones and The X-Files with a star cast including Arnold Vosloo, (The Mummy), Eric Balfour (24, Six Feet Under) and Ryan Merriman (The Pretender, Halloween).

Dreamed up by Patrick Massett and John Zinman, the duo behind the phenomenal success of the first Tomb Raider movie, Veritas: the Quest follows the classified missions of the Veritas Foundation as its members delve into the past to unearth the truth behind some of the the world’s greatest mysteries and the origins of its most ancient civilisations.

From the icy depths under the North Pole, to the ancient tombs of Peru, the Foundation follow events across the world as tensions in the team rise, particularly between father Solomon (Alex Carter, Out of Time, Due South, The Sentinel) and delinquent son Nikko (Merriman).

Combining high-tech gadgetry, stunning locations and ancient legends, Veritas: the Quest is a fast paced action adventure series. Directors of the series include - Adam Nimoy (NYPD Blue, Ally McBeal, Star Trek, The Next Generation), Perry Lang (NYPD Blue) and Brian Spicer (Stephen Spielberg’s Taken). ‘We are delighted to be bringing the exclusive TV premiere of Veritas to the UK. The Tomb Raider team have produced a unique adventure which will thrill fans of action and Sci Fi alike’ Dan Marks, President Sci Fi UK.
