Eidos
Interactive has announced Lara Croft Tomb Raider:
The Angel Of Darkness has gone gold and is being
prepped for mass production ahead of the official
June 20th release date on Sony PS2 and PCDROM
according to unconfirmed reports. Developed by
Derbyshire based studios Core Design Ltd, The
Angel Of Darkness asks more questions of Lara's
abilities and motivations as she finds herself
in nightmarish situations she has not faced before.
A series
of grisly murders brings Lara into conflict with
a sinister Alchemist from the past, and a secret
alliance of powerful individuals shrouded in mystery.
At the center of these mysteries are the Obscura
Paintings - five 14th century pieces of art that
the Alchemist is desperate to repossess. Accused
of the murder of her one time mentor, Werner Von
Croy, Lara becomes a fugitive on the run. Pursued
by the police, she follows the Alchemist into
a dark world of blood, betrayal and vengeance
where it is up to her to defeat this unholy alliance,
and stop them from unleashing their incredible
powers on the world.
To herald
the arrival of the sixth Tomb Raider adventure,
Eidos Interactive has also released a brand new
trailer featuring footage from Paris as Lara actions
a frantic escape from the Louvre to further her
adventures. Download the brand new Angel Of Darkness
