Interactive is releasing official Tomb Raider
ring tones and images for a range of Nokia, Motorola
and Ericsson phones. Priced at £3.00 per item
incl. VAT, the screensavers, backgrounds and ring
tones will be available in the UK only from 26th
March at www.eidosmobile.co.uk. For the first
time ever fans of Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider
series of games will be able to download official
music and images based on the forthcoming game,
Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness.
The ring
tones available have been taken from the soundtrack
for the new game. Originally recorded by the London
Symphony Orchestra, the music is available to
sample before the user purchases. The service
is being managed by Wireless Application Service
Provider, Telecom 1. Users will be able to order
and download items from their mobile and will
be charged using Reverse Billed SMS, with the
cost deducted from a pre-payment account or added
to a monthly bill.
Ric Williams,
head of marketing at Eidos says, "This is a unique
opportunity for Lara's many fans to get even closer
to their heroine." The ring tones and images are
available for the following handsets. Downloads
will also become available for additional phones
as and when technology allows: Compatible handsets:
