SOLD OUT MARCHES
ON WITH EIDOS TITLES
Copyright 2003 Sold Out Press Release
[ February 17th 2003 ]
Sold
Out enters March with a spring in its step on
the back of one of its strongest sextet of titles
to date. Leading the new releases to its £4.99
Super Budget label are Deus Ex and MDK2 - two
titles that perfectly demonstrate the variety
the Sold Out range enjoys.
Deus
Ex is a legend within PC circles. Created by Texas-based
Ion Storm, the game is the result of four years'
development and is a sprawling sci-fi epic casting
the player as a law enforcement agent in a crime-addled
city. The huge environment allows the user to
explore the non-linear adventure at will, while
a cast of rounded characters are on hand to both
help and hinder.
MDK2
was originally released through Interplay and
is a superb arcade adventure based on Shiny Entertainment's
classic predecessor. The player controls a hero
clad in a revolutionary body suit equipped with
a host of special abilities, including parachute
and high-powered artillery. Using these, the player
must pick a path through a series of huge 3D worlds
taking out an army of bad guys and end-of-level
bosses in this graphically stunning title.
Also
revving up to join the £4.99 range is SCi's Carmageddon
TDR 2000, a classic slice of motoring mayhem,
where the player accrues points by running down
anyone who gets in their way. The sextet is then
completed with the welcome addition of RTS Rival
Realms, Interplay's 3D exploration epic Descent
3 and the genre-defying Evolva - a game of evolution,
destruction and genetic modification boasting
incredible organic visuals and animation.
All six
titles will be released on March 21st, and will
come with Sold Out's. Now installation and online
support software. "At Sold Out we pride ourselves
on releasing the best games for the lowest possible
prices, but even by our standards this March collection
is something else," commented managing director
Garry Williams. "To be able to offer the likes
of Deus Ex and MDK2 for less than a fiver is incredible
- but what else would you expect from Sold Out?"
