Ubi Soft Entertainment has announced the release of Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Prophecy for the Nintendo Gameboy Advance. Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Prophecy, starring fearless adventurer Lara Croft, features a new quasi-3D view, an impressive set of spectacular 3D animations, an improved combat system specifically engineered for the Gameboy Advance and environments which develop in height rather than in width.

Alain Corre, Ubi Soft Entertainment's Vice-President for Europe, Asia Pacific and South America said "Lara Croft is one of the strongest and most attractive personalities in the video game world I have full confidence in our creation teams' ability to produce one of the best action games available for the Game Boy Advance." Mike McGarvey, CEO of Eidos Interactive said "We are confident that Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Prophecy will maintain the high standards people have come to expect from a Tomb Raider game."

Features include:

Fixed-camera 3D view: For the first time on the Gameboy Advance, Tomb Raider will feature an advanced view which differentiates it from the previous pocket versions and enhances Lara's sexy attitude and smooth movements.

Spectacular actions: Jumps, dynamic targeting, spectacular flips and twists... everything that the player expects.

Real-time character shadow: Lara Croft's shadow will be dynamically generated in real time for a great and never-seen visual effect on the Gameboy Advance.

Quality of animations: Lara Croft's animations and enemies are obtained from 3D models finely reproducing the movements' style and gameplay opportunities.

Vertigo effect: Vertical gameplay allows characters to reach tall places and not fall down. One of the most successful elements of the Tomb Raider series is introduced again on the Gameboy Advance.

The game remains faithful to the spirit that has made previous game versions, as well as the blockbuster movie, a worldwide success. Since the first Tomb Raider game was released in 1996, the series has gone on to sell more than 28 million copies worldwide. Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Prophecy for Nintendo Gameboy Advance is available nationwide and via online stores.
