With
a number of high profile games under his belt,
including the forthcoming Breed which was awarded
this year's ECTS PC game of the show, and to mark
his commitment to the computer games industry
Nathan McCree announced he is launching a specialist
music and sound production company.
McCree
Music will provide writing, production and sound
design services solely for the computer games
industry, whilst working in collaboration with
its established parent company Meode Productions.
Formed in July 1998 by Nathan McCree and Matt
Kemp to provide music and sound services for all
recording and broadcast media, Meode Productions,
which has already worked with The Spice Girls
and Orange, will now only focus on other forms
of entertainment media including TV and Film.
Nathan
McCree, director of McCree Music and Meode Productions
and who is renowned for composing the score for
Tomb Raider 1, 2 and 3 commented on the division
of companies: "The range of audio expertise required
for computer games is far greater than any other
form of media entertainment, and the process of
implementing the audio experiences is becoming
more complex as the industry rushes into maturity.
It was a natural progression to form a specialist
company. McCree Music is a response to the industry’s
growing demand for interactive audio perfection."
McCree
Music is a full service music, sound design and
production company for the computer games industry.
The company has worked with and provides support
to all platforms including: consoles (PS2/Xbox/GC),
handhelds (GBA/Mobile phones) and PC websites/web-based
games.
