Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie has interrupted shooting scenes for the Tomb Raider sequel following an accident involving her 13-month-old adopted son Maddox. The baby was flown to Liverpool's Alder Hay Children's Hospital on Tuesday where he received treatment for three days. A hospital spokeswoman confirmed that the baby-boy was discharged on Friday although refused to disclose details of the injury. A statement later released said: "Ms Jolie would like to extend her sincere thanks to all the staff at Alder Hey hospital for their care in looking after her son."

Shooting was scheduled to conclude in Wales today before the production team headed to Kenya to continue filming Lara Croft & The Cradle Of Life, the second in a three-part motion picture video-game franchise. The movie sees Angelina Jolie return as British archeologist Lara Croft sent on a perilous mission to rescue the world from the exploits of an evil Chinese crime syndicate led by Chen Lo.
