As first reported by tombraiderchronicles.com on July 8th 2002 and then denied by a source close to the Goss camp [you wouldn't believe how close!] on July 9th 2002, former Bros heartthrob Luke Goss has been offered a starring role opposite Angelina Jolie in Par's Tomb Raider movie sequel. Goss, who recently made a major appearance in the vampire flick Blade II, is also penned to star in the Midas Films backed East End gangster movie Charlie. Producers have reworked their filming schedule to accommodate Goss' role opposite Jolie.

Goss told teletext.co.uk: "Director Jan de Bont wants me, but it's down to scheduling." The former chart-topper confirmed that he would like to accept a prominent part apposite former Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie who dons hot-pants and pistols for her second foray as buxom British gunslinger Lara Croft.

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life chronicles the adventures of British aristocrat Lara croft sent on a perilous mission to rescue the world from the exploits of an evil Chinese crime syndicate led by oriental crime lord Chen Lo. The movie opens with an explosive underwater action scene involving a desperate struggle for a sacred ancient spear guarded by Chen Lo's evil henchmen and a mission to overthrow new villain Reiss from deploying an army of biological drones to wreak havoc on the world.
