Angelina
Jolie and her entourage touched down at Kamari
airport on the sun-drenched Aegean Sea island
of Santorini early yesterday morning to begin
shooting scenes for Paramount Pictures Tomb Raider
movie sequel. Jolie will begin a Jet Ski and scuba-diving
training program before meeting with director
Jan de Bont to finalise a series of underwater
scenes. Her Lear jet landed in the early hours
and a limo whisked both Jolie and son Maddox to
the hotel "Vedema" at Megalohori. The Lara Croft
star will negotiate with several stunt doubles
while on the island.
Filming
is scheduled to begin Aug 26-31 at the northern-most
point of the island in the small costal town of
Ia. Producers will also tout for 100 extras to
star alongside Jolie. British tabloid newspaper
The Sun also reports that producers are searching
the coastal regions of Caernarfon in Wales after
Chinese authorities refused permission to film
on the Great Wall of China. The production team
will then relocate to Africa to continue shooting.
