TIMESPLITTERS 2 TO SUPPORT CONSOLE LINK

Eidos Interactive, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, has announced that TimeSplitters 2 will support the system link feature on both Microsoft Corps XBOX and Sony Playstation 2 allowing an amalgamation of up to eight consoles and 16 players to multi-play a single adventure. TimeSplitters 2 will also make its commercial debut on Nintendo's GameCube.

TimeSplitters 2 is the sequel to the hugely successful and critically acclaimed TimeSplitters, which was released to coincide with the US and European launches of PlayStation 2. The game is being developed by Free Radical Design of Nottingham, England, and is set for release in September. The game engine has been extensively upgraded to accommodate bigger, better backgrounds and special graphical effects while still providing the distinctive smooth fast paced action of the original.
