Special effects wizards Mill Film will once again be charged with the digital trickery for Paramount Pictures Lara Croft Tomb Raider sequel that has now begun principal photography at Pinewood Studios, London with Angelina Jolie onboard for her second foray as British adventurer Lara Croft.

Created as a partnership between commercials facility The Mill and film directors Tony and Ridley Scot, Mill Film now has bases within Soho, London and at Shepperton Studios and is a premier end-to-end feature film facility combining superior visual effects talent and technical strength with vast experience in digital effects and miniature construction and photography. Mill Film boasts an impressive range of digital film technology including inferno, flame, Domino, Illusion, Cineon, Lightwave, Softimage 3D with Sumatra, Discreet 3D Studio MAX and Maya.

Tomb Raider II, tentatively named The Cradle of Life [working title], will shoot on location in China and Africa with Speed director Jan de Bont steering the Lara Croft franchise vehicle. The second of three video-game adaptations chronicles the adventures of British archeologist Lara Croft who is sent on a perilous mission to rescue the world from the exploits of an evil Chinese crime syndicate led by oriental crime lord Chen Lo.
