Paramount
Pictures today announced it will work with Land
Rover and RealNetworks Inc. to present "Tomb Raider
Live," the first up close look at Tomb Raider,
one of next summer's most anticipated films.
This
event will take place LIVE on Thursday, November
9, 2000 from the set of the Tomb Raider production
currently filming at Pinewood Studios in London.This
interactive event, broadcast exclusively in RealNetworks'
RealVideo 8 format, will start with a tour of
the film's magnificent sets.
Users
will then be able watch an interview with the
film's director Simon West and pose questions
with key members of the Tomb Raider production
staff, take an exclusive look behind-the-scenes,
and have an opportunity to win a copy of the new
Tomb Raider Chronicles console game from Eidos
Interactive.
Director Simon West said, "Conducting a live Webcast
from the set of 'Tomb Raider' is the kind of cutting
edge technology we've come to expect from Lara
Croft. We're all very excited about it." Internet
users can attend Tomb Raider Live by logging on
to the official movie Web Site or by going directly
to http://tombraider.real.com.
To view
the live webcast, users will need RealPlayer 8,
available for free download at http://www.real.com.
The LIVE Webcast will take place on Thursday,
November 9, 2000 at 2:30 p.m. EST, 7:30 p.m. GMT
and 11:30 a.m. PST. The event will be rebroadcast
in its entirety at 10 p.m. EST, 7 p.m. PST for
those who couldn't make it earlier in the day.
Yahoo!
Chat will conduct a live chat during the Webcast.
Web users will be able to use Yahoo! Chat to pose
questions to the crew as well as to discuss this
fantastic event as it happens. Tomb Raider fans
should pay close attention to the broadcast times
as an archive of this Webcast will not be launched
until early next year.
