Aidan
Quinn is to keep filming in Ireland even after
his current project Dark Eagle finishes shooting.
Quinn will stay on to work on a new movie called
Raggy Boy according to reports in the Irish press
last night. The film is reportedly based on a
novel based on the Spanish Civil War by the Irish
writer Patrick Galvin.
The Cork
writer wrote the book Song for a Raggy Boy which
tells the story of teacher who fought on the republican
side of the Civil War. After seeing his lover
and bestfriend killed he takes up a position in
Ireland. The job is that of a teacher in a reform
school for delinquent boys run by the Christian
Brothers. The film is expected to be released
by next year and is being made by Titan films.
Along
with Quinn in the film will be the Scottish actor
Ian Glen, who recently acted alongside Angelina
Jolie in Tomb Raider. The movie will be directed
by Aisling Walsh who has already worked on movies
such as Sinners, Forgive and Forget and Joyriders.
