A report in the East Anglia Daily Times has confirmed that the cast and crew of Tomb Raider the movie has been shooting at one of East Anglia's most stately homes, Elveden Hall, which is owned by the Earl of Iveagh from the Guinness Brewery and managed by Michael Douglas. Although the identities of the cast present were kept tightly under wraps, a spokesman confirmed that a number of rooms had been hired from nearby Angel Hotel in Bury St Edmonds.

Security surrounding the estate has been almost impregnable, although Mr Douglas added that "there have been a few people looking over the fence, but having signed-up to the location agreement, they [Paramount] were given exclusive possession of it. They don't want to be disturbed while working. Elveden Hall has also played host to Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman who shot parts of Stanley Kubrick's movie Eyes Wide Shut on it's estate.
