Former
Liverpool veteran and Irish international Ray
Houghton has been signed up by Eidos Interactive
as a consultant for the publishers award winning
Championship Manager series developed by Sports
Interactive. Championship Manager 4 will make
its commercial debut on PC later this year with
XBOX versions in the pipe-line, Ananova reports
today.
Ray Houghton
said: "I first got to know the guys at Sports
Interactive when I was an agent. I was aware of
how accurate and exhaustive their database of
players' stats was, and used to phone them for
advice on signings." Miles Jacobson from Sports
Interactive added: "Ray's input makes us supremely
confident that the next version of Champ Man is
going to be the best and most accurate football
management simulation ever."
Championship
Manager recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary
edition and powers a franchise that now boasts
over 2 million sales worldwide. Features include
detailed profiles and histories for over 90,000
players, managers, and coaches, enhanced media
involvement, more messages, feedback and variety
from the local and national press and new features
allowing the player to compare two players side
by side.
