Tomb Raider publishers Eidos Interactive today announced Deus Ex: The Conspiracy has shipped for Sony's Playstation II games console sporting improved character graphics, a streamlined interface, and new dynamic weather and lighting effects engineered to heighten the tension of suspicion and darken the atmosphere of conspiracy.

Ion Storm Austin, the studio responsible for porting from PC to PS2, says, "Not only did the team manage to bring over every location, every character, every line of dialogue, every character development option, every conspiratorial plot twist and every genre-bending play style choice and problem solving option but we were able to make some enhancements to the original game."

Deus Ex is a 1st person 3D action adventure game that immerses the player in an intricate web of betrayal and intrigue. As J.C. Denton, a rookie anti-terrorist agent, players travel the globe building a network of allies and create an alter identity to aid a search for the truth. Incorporating the best elements of role-playing, action, adventure, and 1st person shooter genres, Deus Ex hosts a chaotic story world of conspiracies, cliffhangers and plot twists fueling a paranoia that will keep players guessing every step of the way.
