MULTIPLAYER ROLE
IN NEW TOMB RAIDER?

The
next Tomb Raider
adventure may well feature multiplayer action,
if the "AAA title" lead designer role currently
being sought for by Crystal Dynamics turns out
to include British archaeologist Lara
Croft. According to GamaSutra
JobSeeker, Crystal Dynamics are seeking a
talented and innovative candidate who is driven
and passionate about making games.
Position
requirements include 5+ years working on current
AAA multiplayer games on next-gen consoles, able
to effectively create and lead the multiplayer
vision and design effort and an ability to design
multiplayer maps from written map designs, building
3D rough drafts, participate extensively in play
testing sessions, iterating maps based on feedback
and making necessary improvements to those maps.
Earlier
this year, Crystal Dynamics also advertised
for a Senior Art Director for what could be the
same AAA title. Whether or not this title turns
out to be Tomb Raider remains to be seen. Stay
