The raptors are fast, smart, and hunt in packs.
"The raptors feel good in both packs and solo," says Jason Epps, Design Director at Crystal Dynamics. "Their attacks telegraph so the player can and should dodge, but really watch out for their leap that pins Lara."
And yes, they have feathers. It's one of the small details Raul Siqueira, Game Director at Crystal Dynamics, is most proud of. "Not just the fact that we made sure they had feathers, but if you pay close attention as you damage them in combat, you’ll notice as part of the damage decals some feathers start to come off."
