SHADOW OF THE TOMB RAIDER PHYSICAL RELEASE ANNOUNCED FOR NINTENDO SWITCH 2

Limited Run Games has announced a physical release of Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch 2. The company confirmed the release through its official X account, with pre-orders scheduled to open on 6 November 2026.

A Collector's Edition has also been revealed, featuring a physical copy of the game, a slipcase designed to accompany the Survivor Trilogy collection, a steelcase, a replica of the Key of Chak Chel and an original soundtrack CD. Promotional material confirms that pre-orders will remain open until 27 December 2026.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition launched digitally on Nintendo Switch 2 on 22 October 2026, completing the Survivor Trilogy on the platform following the releases of Tomb Raider Definitive Edition and Rise of the Tomb Raider 20 Year Celebration.

The third instalment follows Lara Croft as she travels across Mexico and Peru while attempting to prevent an apocalypse associated with Maya mythology. Her investigation takes her through jungle environments, underground tombs and the hidden city of Paititi as she confronts Trinity and attempts to prevent the organisation from obtaining the power of an ancient deity.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition includes the complete base game, seven downloadable Challenge Tombs, two-player online co-operative gameplay and previously released downloadable weapons, outfits and skills. Players can also complete optional Challenge Tombs to obtain additional rewards.

Pre-orders for the physical release and Collector's Edition will be available through the official Limited Run Games website from 6 November 2026.
