STEAMDB RECORDS DENUVO REMOVAL FROM TOMB RAIDER LEGACY OF ATLANTIS
[ 5 October 2026 ]
An update to Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis has removed the game's third-party Denuvo Anti-Tamper technology, according to SteamDB. The change was recorded on 30 September 2026 at 17:30:06 UTC. Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis remains in development, and it is not yet known whether the change will apply to the final release.
Denuvo Anti-Tamper is a software protection system used in PC games. It is designed to make modifying game executable files more difficult and to prevent or delay attempts to bypass copy-protection systems. The technology has received criticism from some PC players over concerns about its potential effect on game performance and restrictions associated with DRM.
Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis is a single-player, narrative-focused action-adventure game based on the original Tomb Raider. British archaeologist and adventurer Lara Croft travels through Peru, Greece, Egypt and an island linked to Atlantis as she searches for the Scion, an ancient artefact. The story revisits material from the original game while adding connections between Lara's first expedition and events that occur later in her life.
