JACQUELINE NATLA TO FEATURE IN NEW TOMB RAIDER LEGACY OF ATLANTIS VIDEO

Jacqueline Natla will be introduced in an upcoming behind-the-scenes developer video for Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis, Amazon Game Studios has announced. The video is scheduled for release on Monday on the studio's official YouTube channel. Natla, a wealthy businesswoman and owner of Natla Technologies, is the main antagonist of the original Tomb Raider and an adversary of Lara Croft.

Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis is a single-player, narrative-driven action-adventure game that reimagines the original Tomb Raider, which was released in 1996. The story follows Lara as she travels to several locations while investigating the secrets of Atlantis.

Locations include Peru, Greece and Egypt, alongside an island associated with the Atlantis storyline. The game expands on events from the original title and adds connections between Lara's first adventure and later events in her life.

Gameplay combines exploration, platforming, puzzle-solving and combat. Lara can climb, jump and swing through environments, while a grappling hook is included as part of the traversal system. Puzzles use environmental elements and mechanisms, and combat includes Lara's dual pistols alongside other weapons that can be unlocked during the game. Enemies include wildlife, mercenaries and mythological creatures. The game also includes a T-Rex encounter based on a sequence from the 1996 release.

Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis is scheduled for release on 12 February 2027 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. Standard, Deluxe and Collector's editions will be available, with the Deluxe and Collector's editions providing 48 hours of early access.
