TOMB RAIDER CATALYST NOW EXPECTED TO LAUNCH IN CALENDAR YEAR 2028

Tomb Raider Catalyst is now expected to launch in calendar year 2028, according to Embracer Group's latest interim report presentation. The updated guidance replaces the previous expectation of a release during the 2027 calendar year. The change means Crystal Dynamics' next mainline Tomb Raider game will not launch until 2028. Embracer has not provided a specific release date or month.

Tomb Raider Catalyst, co-developed by Crystal Dynamics, Flying Wild Hog and Eidos-Montreal, is the next mainline instalment in the franchise and follows Lara Croft to Northern India. The story centres on a mythical cataclysm that has unearthed ancient secrets and reawakened dormant guardian forces.

Tomb Raider Catalyst is being developed using Unreal Engine 5 and is scheduled for release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
