TOMB RAIDER CATALYST EXPECTED FOR FINANCIAL YEAR 2027/28 RELEASE WINDOW

Embracer Group has published its interim report for the first quarter of the 2026/27 financial year, confirming a release window for Tomb Raider Catalyst. According to the report, the next mainline Tomb Raider game from Crystal Dynamics is expected to launch in FY 2027/28. As Embracer's financial year runs from April 1 to March 31, this places Catalyst's expected release window between April 1, 2027 and March 31, 2028.

Set in the aftermath of a mythical cataclysm, Tomb Raider Catalyst takes Lara to Northern India, where ancient secrets have been uncovered and mysterious guardian forces awakened. As rival treasure hunters arrive in the region, Lara must uncover the truth behind the fractured landscape while preventing its power from falling into the wrong hands.

The game is being developed using Unreal Engine 5 and will feature the largest world in the series to date. Its environments will span towering mountains, vast deserts, dense jungles and mysterious ruins, with a strong emphasis on vertical exploration, traversal, puzzles and discovery.

Embracer's latest report also confirms that Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis is expected in February 2027, meaning fans could see two major new Tomb Raider releases within the space of roughly a year.

For now, no specific release date or month has been announced for Tomb Raider Catalyst. Embracer's FY 2027/28 guidance establishes the current expected window as April 2027 through March 2028.
