STEAM DISCLOSES AI ASSISTANCE IN DEVELOPMENT OF TOMB RAIDER LEGACY OF ATLANTIS

The Steam product page for Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis includes an AI Generated Content Disclosure. The disclosure states that AI-assisted tools were used during development to support some early exploration and temporary development content. It states that any AI-assisted assets were either replaced or refined by human developers in order to maintain the creative and artistic vision of the development team.

Developed by Flying Wild Hog in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics, Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis reimagines Lara Croft's first adventure with updated visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5. The title incorporates modern game design elements alongside additional content while maintaining the established tone and atmosphere of the original game.

The player controls Lara Croft as she travels through multiple locations, including Peru, Greece, Egypt, and a Mediterranean island. The game involves exploration, traversal of environmental obstacles, solving mechanisms and traps, and combat with hostile wildlife and other threats, as players search for pieces of the Scion, an in-game artefact.

Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis will release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC on 12 February 2027, with 48-hour early access available through selected editions.
