EMBRACER GROUP HIGHLIGHTS UPCOMING TOMB RAIDER RELEASES IN Q3 2025/26 REPORT
[ 12 February 2026 ]
During the Q3 2025/26 interim report presentation, Phil Rogers, CEO of Embracer Group, highlighted fan anticipation for upcoming titles, stating, "Tomb Raider fans were excited on news of the two games revealed, together with our partners Amazon, at December's Game Awards show. It's great to see Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog studio collaboration announced too. Legacy of Atlantis is the first up, followed by Tomb Raider Catalyst, the next major chapter in the series."
Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis, developed in partnership with Flying Wild Hog, offers a complete reimagining of the 1996 classic. Built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, the title features redesigned environments, modernised gameplay mechanics, immersive sound design, and refreshed narrative elements, while remaining faithful to the spirit of the original. It is scheduled for release in 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Meanwhile, Crystal Dynamics is preparing the next mainline entry in the franchise, Tomb Raider Catalyst. The game takes players to Northern India, where Lara Croft confronts a region transformed by a mythical cataclysm that has unearthed ancient secrets and reawakened long-dormant guardian forces. Developed using Unreal Engine 5, Catalyst promises expansive landscapes, a compelling story, and next-generation gameplay, with release planned for 2027 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
