EMBRACER ANNOUNCES MODERN REIMAGINING AND NEW ADVENTURE FOR LARA CROFT

Phil Rogers, CEO of Embracer Group, has described the collaboration with Amazon Game Studios as a pivotal milestone for the Tomb Raider franchise. He stated that Legacy of Atlantis pays tribute to the series' origins, while Catalyst signals an ambitious evolution. Together, the projects embody a renewed vision for Lara Croft's universe, combining a modern reimagining of her original adventure with a wholly new narrative designed to broaden the character's future horizons.

Together, these projects reflect our ambitious next chapter for Lara Croft's world; reimagining her debut title to today's gamer expectations; and, the all-new adventure expanding her horizons," says Phil Rogers, CEO of Embracer Group.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, launching in 2026, revisits Lara's first adventure with modern visuals, updated gameplay design, and new surprises, while preserving the tone and essence of the original. The game is being developed by Crystal Dynamics in partnership with Flying Wild Hog. Tomb Raider: Catalyst, scheduled for release in 2027, follows Lara to northern India in the aftermath of a mythical cataclysm that has awakened ancient forces. Both titles are powered by Unreal Engine 5 and will be released on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
