AMAZON GAMES COMMITTED TO PUBLISHING TOMB RAIDER

Amazon Games is focusing its efforts on Prime Gaming and publishing upcoming titles including Tomb Raider amid reports of job losses within its gaming division, according to an internal memo published by The Verge.

"I recognize that this is the second time this year that you are hearing about org-wide team changes and seeing colleagues go, so let me be very clear when I say this: I remain confident in our future. We are developing and publishing great games with high potential, our studio teams are growing, and our roadmap is bright." writes Christoph Hartmann, VP of Amazon Games.

"We are focused on our upcoming publishing launches for Throne and Liberty and Blue Protocol, as well as future projects like our Tomb Raider and The Lord of the Rings games, and our projects with Glowmade and Disruptive Games."

Lara Croft and Tomb Raider are currently under the aegis of U.S. studio Crystal Dynamics who are developing a new multi-platform Tomb Raider title, with Amazon Games providing full support and publishing the game globally. The as-yet-untitled new Tomb Raider game is a single-player, narrative-driven adventure that continues Lara Croft's story in the Tomb Raider series.
