CRYSTAL DYNAMICS ON STUDIO'S FUTURE

Darrell Gallagher, head of Crystal Dynamics, has spoken to GamaSutra on the studio's future direction since being acquired by Square Enix and reaffirms its commitment to the Tomb Raider franchise. Although the interview doesn't reveal specifics, it does uncover the mentality of the studio as a whole as it moves forward with key franchise titles.

"What I can say is Tomb Raider, as a franchise, is absolutely part of the Crystal fabric," Darrell Gallagher says. "It's a key franchise and awesome to be part of... we're excited about what we've been exploring, and we're excited to share it with the fans at some point."
