Tomb Raider Underworld Walkthrough and Game Guide
Featuring All Secrets and Hidden Rewards

Level 2: Mediterranean Sea

Treasures: 26
Relics: 1

The Path To Avalon

One week earlier, Lara was on her boat floating on the Mediterranean sea, as the cutscene shows. Using her laptop and speaking to Zip and Alister, Lara says she is close to finding Avalon. Her father was convinced that the path to the undiscovered island was here, as Professor Eddigton* told her. Although Alister doubts that her mother is still alive, but Lara wants to find the truth.

[*Note: Underworld follows the storyline of Legend (at the end of the game Lara asked Zip to call Professor Eddigton and arrange a meeting) but it also includes elements from Anniversary (the remake of the original Tomb Raider game). If you have not played those games, you may have troubles following the story. To get an idea of what has happened, you can select Extras from the main menu, Trailers & Credits and then Previously On Tomb Raider.]

You begin on Lara's boat. This part of the level takes place underwater, but you will not have to worry about your breath because Lara wears an oxygen tank.

At the bottom of the sea - Jump into the water and swin down. Keep swimming until you reach the bottom, where you will be able to see the rock structures. As you you explore, you will encounter three sharks. They do not attack all together, so keep your eyes open.

(Note about the guns: Lara can use her Pistols underwater, but it is more effective here if you use the Spear Gun. Enter the PDA, select Weapon Selection and choose the Spear Gun. Lara has now instant access to two guns: the Pistols and the Spear Gun. If you want another weapon, you can select it from the PDA and it will accompany the Pistols.)

The door puzzle - Swim towards the tall rock structure. The entrance is at the bottom, so swim through it. Be careful of the jellyfish, because they can hurt you. Continue to the room below where you will find the first puzzle. This is a door that consists of three mechanisms. Each one needs a handle to work and the middle mechanism has already the handle in its place, so you are missing the other two. The First Handle is on a pedestal at the bottom of the room. Get it and approach the center of one of the two mechanisms. Press the Interact button to put the Handle in its place. Do not rotate any of the Handles yet, so it will be easier later on.

Turn around to face the entrance and locate the tunnel above to the left (as shown in this screenshot). Swim through it until you reach almost the top. Look around and you will spot the Treasure (1/26) on a rock. Continue to the top of the tunnel to reach the sea. Turn right and swim to the front side of the tall structure. With the entrance to your back, locate the small cave with the rectangular entrance to the left (as shown in this screenshot). Swim through it and again avoid the jellyfish. Follow the cave as it goes around to the right and swim through the opening. The Second Handle is on the right (see here), whilst on the left is a path above some rocks that leads to a Treasure (2/26).

Solving the door puzzle - Make your way back to the tall structure and return to the door puzzle. Put the Second Handle in its place and examine the door. Each mechanism has three almond-shaped pieces. Notice that the middle mechanism has one common piece with the left and one common piece with the right mechanism (as shown here). You have to rotate the mechanisms so that the middle one has the three pieces with the "opened eye" designs (as shown in this screenshot). If you have not used the Handles at all, this is how you can open the door: Use the middle Handle once, the left one once and the right one twice. Once you do it correctly, the door opens.

If you want all the Treasures, do not swim through the door (if you are not interested, skip to the part of the walkthrough Past the door puzzle). Turn around and exit the tall structure. Swim to the left (having the entrance to your back) and look for some fallen rocks that create an archway (as shown here). Swim towards it and you will see an opening. Follow the tunnel and you will spot the Treasure (3/26) beneath the jellyfish. Get it and return back to the sea.

Facing the entrance of the tall structure, there is a cave on the left, but the entrance is hidden behind the seaweed (as shown in this screenshot ). Swim through it and follow the cave as it goes around to the right. In the next room, you will see an empty pedestal on the right. To the left is a way above the rocks that leads to the Treasure (4/26). Once you get it, return back to the sea.

There are more fallen rocks to the far left of the tall structure (behind the cave of the fourth Treasure - see this screenshot to get oriented). Swim behind the rocks and you will see an opening. Get into the cave and follow the tunnel to reach the Treasure (5/26). Return back to the sea.

Approach the front side of the tall structure and swim upwards. Almost halfway up, look for a flat ledge on the left where the Treasure (6/26) is lying on. (This screenshot shows the location, but if you want a close up, see here).

Past the door puzzle - Once everything is in your backpack, swim through the door where you solved the puzzle and follow the tunnel as it goes, being careful of the jellyfish. When you reach the third corner, turn around to see the way you came. Look down and you will see another Treasure (7/26) on the right (as shown in this screenshot). Continue to the end of the tunnel that seems to be a dead end. When you approach the giant tentacle, it will retreat and clear the way. Swim through the opening and surface above.

Climb out of the water on the low ledge and climb into the opening. Break the vases on the right; one of them contains a Treasure (8/26). Continue to the other side of the cave and climb up the ledges. Drop down at the other side and go through the opening. Jump into the water and swim down to get a Treasure (9/26) behind the ascent. Now go up the ascent to reach the ground. You need to reach the opposite side of this room where the exit door is. On your way, you will get a Treasure and there are two ways to do it, but first get the Health Potion from the ledge on the left (if the pool is to your back).

First way - From the ledge where you got the Health Potion, jump up to grab the handhold above, then jump to grab the upper ledge. Pull up and move to the right (Lara's left hand). Jump to grab the handhold of the pillar and traverse around the corner. Jump to grab the handhold above, the jump to grab the horizontal pole behind you. Swing and jump to grab the second pole, then the third one. From there, jump to the square ledge ahead where you can break the vases and get a Treasure (10/26).

Second way - From the ledge where you got the Health Potion, drop down and go up the ramp at the other side. Climb on the ledge to the left and jump to grab the handhold of the pillar. Traverse to the right around the three corners. Jump up to grab the handhold above and jump back to grab the square ledge behind you. Pull up, break the vases and pick up the Treasure (10/26).

Turn around and jump to grab the handhold of the pillar. Traverse to the right around the two corners and jump to grab the horizontal pole. Swing and jump to grab the handhold of the opposite pillar. Traverse around the corner and release twice to grab the handholds below. Then drop to the ground.

The serpent puzzle - If you use the switch on the platform now, nothing will happen. You will see only sparks in the two recesses, indicating that fires will lit. To make them work, you have to do something with the two sets of pressure plates on the floor.

Locate the two small blocks between the plates. Pick up the first one (stand in front of it and press the Interct button), go to the left plate and press the Crouch button to set it down. Do the same for the second block, putting it again on the left pressure plate. Both will have enough weight to keep the plate down.

Now stand facing the right serpent and use the Grapple to cath the ring on the head. Press the Interact button to pull it and make it fall on the pressure plate. Now use the switch on the platform to operate the mechanism.

The stone door opens in the cut scene and Lara finds the mechanism incredible. As she examines the carvings, she finds them to be early German design, but older than the 5th century. She spots the runes above the door and reads "World of Mist" and she takes it to be Niflheim, the realm of the dead; not Avalon, but the Norse equivalent.

Niflheim

Go through the doorway and up the two sets of stairs. Climb on the stone ledges and jump to the one ahead. There is an alcove on the left that contains some vases (as shown in this screenshot). Jump there and break the vases to get a Treasure (11/26). Then drop to the ground. If you miss the jump for the alcove, you can climb on the last stone ledge and try again.

Continue through the hallway and go up the next stairs. Crouch beneath the stones and Lara will grab the edge of the pit. Release to drop to the ground. Turn around and crouch into the alcove to the left. Proceed to the end of the low tunnel to reach a second pit. Lara will automatically grab the edge, so release to drop down. Turn around and climb on the stone ledge on the left. Then jump to grab the next ledge and pull up. Pick up the Health Potion and climb on the ledge at the bottom of the stairs.

Turn around to face the pit you came from and locate the vase on the left (as shown here). Smash it and collect the Treasure (12/26). The handholds above the Treasure lead back, but there is no reason to go there now. Even if you missed a Treasure, you will come back from here anyway. Go up the stairs to reach a hallway with an alcove on each side. The left one contains a Health Potion and the right hand one some vases that you can break and get a Treasure (13/26). Continue through the hallway and towards the wide opening.

Whilst Lara reaches the opening in the cut scene, a huge tentacle destroyes the ledge she was about to reach. When it retracts, Lara discovers that the tentacle belongs to a kraken (a legendary sea monster of Norse mythology). Using her camera, Lara spots a spiked platform above its head, and focusing on its left eye she comments "I hope it's as blind as it looks".

Room with kraken - The first thing you should know is that you cannot kill the kraken with your weapons. Although you want it dead because it blocks the exit, you have to find another way of killing it. The spiked platform above its head will do the job, so you have to find a way of releasing it. To do that, you have to operate two mechanisms; one on the left and one on the right side of the room. Whilst doing that, you had better avoid the creature's tentacles because they can be harmful and sometimes deadly.

Right hand side mechanism - The left way here is blocked by some rocks, so go through the hallway on the right until you reach a pit. Jump to grab the handhold on the left and traverse to the right. Jump from handhold to handhold until you reach the opposite side. If you accidentally fall into the pit, use the handholds to get back to the top. Continue through the hallway until you reach a second pit. Here you have the option of sliding down the ramp or continuing with the handholds on the left that keep you at the top. It does not matter wich way you follow, since both lead to the mechanism.

First way/ Sliding down the ramp - Slide down the ramp and continue through the hallway. Pass the first junction and proceed to the end and around the corner. Break the vases and pick up the Treasure (14/26). Return back to the junction and turn left (where the lit torch is). Turn left around the corner and go through the opening to reach the room with the mechanism. You can see some gears to the left and a golden ring on the support column. (Skip to the part of the walkthrough Dealing with the gears.)

Second way/ Staying at the top - Instead of sliding down the ramp, jump to grab the handhold on the left and use the rest two to get across. Continue around to the left to reach a ledge that overlooks the pool. Here you can see three vertical poles coming down from the ceiling. (The following sequence is shown in this screenshot.) Jump to grab the first (leftmost) one, then jump to grab the second pole. When you reach the third one, you can clearly see that one of the tentacles of the kraken is coiled around the pillar. For now, you do not have to worry about it. Slide down a bit and jump to grab the handhold on the pillar. Traverse to the right as much as you can, but do not pull up on the platform yet. Notice the horizontal pole just ahead. When you pull up, time slows down. This is the situational adrenaline and you have to act quickly. This means that once you pull onto the platform, the kraken will destroy it, so quickly jump off the platform and grab the pole. Swing around and jump to the ledge ahead.

If you miss the jump during the situational adrenaline and fall into the pool, climb out of the water on the right (as you face the kraken) and go up the stairs. You will see a high ledge that you can climb on. This takes you to a hallway with a lit torch at the end. Go there and around the corner to the left to reach the room with the mechanism, as you would if you had followed the First way/ Sliding down the ramp. If you succeed with the situational adrenaline, enter the room on the right. Go to the other side where the switch is, which does not do anything yet. Hang from the edge on the left and shimmy to the right. At the end, jump to grab the horizontal pole and swing around it. Then jump and slide down the slope until you reach the ground. You can see some gears and a golden ring on the support column.

Before doing anything, go through the opening to the side of the gears and follow the hallway around to the right. On the junction, turn right and then left around the corner. Break the vases and pick up the Treasure (14/26). Make your way back to the room with the mechanism the same way you came.

Dealing with the gears - Use the Grapple to cath the golden ring and pull it. The column will fall down, causing some pain to the kraken that will retreat its tentacle. Climb on the ledge next to the opening, then onto the next one. Climb on the rocky platform above and slide down the slope. Before reaching the end, jump to grab the horizontal pole. Swing and jump to grab the handhold ahead. Traverse all the way to the left and pull onto the ledge with the switch; throw it down.

The brief cut scene shows the right hand bridge to move away from the spiked platform, thus releasing it.

Left hand side mechanism - Exit to the bridge and go to the end, close to the statue's hands. Jump on the flat part of the hand on the right, then on the circular (spiked) platform (see this screenshot). Go to the other side and enter the room with the mechanism. Move close to the switch that, once again, does not do anything yet. Locate the gear with the golden ring (as shown here) and use the Grapple to catch it. Pull the gear to its place and use the switch to activate the mechanism.

In the cut scene, the kraken retracts its tentacle and the mechanism gets into motion. The left hand bridge moves away from the spiked platform.

Killing the kraken - Exit the room and cross the bridge to the end. Jump to the flat part of the hand on the left and walk on the statue's arm (as shown in this screenshot). Jump to grab the handhold on the pillar and traverse around the corner. Jump to the ledge behind you, which is the one behind and above the kraken. Use the switch to raise the spiked platform. Approach one of the two chains and notice the broken ring. Use the Precision aim to target the ring below the broken one (as shown here). Shoot the ring to break it and do the same thing with the other chain.

In the cut scene, the spiked platform falls on the kraken's head and kills it. The kraken then retracts its tentacles from the exit door.

If you are not interested in collecting the remaining Treasures, you can jump into the water and leave the area (skip to the part of the walkthrough The exit door).

If you take a look above the switch, you will see a ledge. To reach it, you have to use the brand new Chimney Jump. This works like this: stand in the alcove to the left of the switch (this can also be done in the right hand alcove). Jump towards the right hand wall and when Lara touches it (as shown in this screenshot) press Jump again to leap off. When she touches the wall behind, press Jump again. By pressing the Jump button repeatedly, you bounce upwards between the walls. When you do this correctly, Lara will automatically grab the handhold of the pillar. Now jump up to grab the edge and pull up. Go to the end of the hallway and break the vases to get the Treasure (15/26). Then return back to the ledge with the switch.

Jump into the water and swim to the left. There is a sloped pillar in the pool and if you dive down, you will find a Treasure (16/26) closeby. (In this screenshot, Lara is standing on the ledge with the switch.) Swim to the left side of the room (if the exit door is to your back) and climb up the stairs that are half covered by the water. Follow the ledge around to the left and climb on the next ledge. Do not go up the stairs. Instead, look for some vases to the right (as shown in this screenshot). One of them contains a Treasure (17/26).

Jump back into the water. Now swim to the exact opposite side. Approach the stairs that are half covered by the water and you will see a Treasure (18/26) beneath the surface. (In this screenshot, Lara is standing on the ledge with the switch.) Go up the stairs and follow the ledge around to the right. Go up the next stairs and climb on the high ledge. The hallway with the lit torch ahead leads to the Left hand side mechanism, so do not go there. Instead, turn left and follow the hallway to the end where you will find some vases. One of them contains a Treasure (19/26). Return back to the pool.

(Note - You may have noticed the ledges at the top of the kraken pool, but you cannot go up there from here. You will visit them later.)

The exit door - Swim towards the exit door and climb on the ledge to the right of the door. Use the switch to open the door and go through it. Go up the two sets of stairs to reach a deep pit. Approach the left wall and Lara will grab the handholds. Use the direction keys and follow the handholds that run above the pit. When you cannot go any farther, press Right and Jump to grab onto the next bunch of handholds. Climb a bit more to the right and release to drop to the ground.

Go up the next stairs to reach a second pit. This time, there is a narrow beam that you have to cross. Step on it and move forwards. If Lara loses her balance, press the opposite direction key to correct. If you want to get across faster, hang from the beam (press the Crouch button) and traverse to the other side. Then pull up and step on even ground. Crawl under the rocks and go up the stairs to reach the next room.

In the cut scene, Lara looks through the closed gate and recognises the statue. It's Thor, the Norse Gof of Thunder. She also spots a glowing glove and comments that according to Eddas (a collection of poems; the most important source on Norse mythology) "Thor needed special iron gauntlets to wield his mighty hammer Mjolnir".

The Norse Connection

The gate here opens when both pressure plates are compressed. Since Lara can step on one of them, you have to find something to place on the other. Go to the right hand side where the vertical pole is. Grab it and climb to the top. Jump into the opening and drop to the room below. Pick up the Health Potion and notice the two small blocks. Pick up the first one and step on the pressure plate. When the stone door opens, press the Grenade key to throw the block through the door. Do the same thing for the second block and return back to the first room.

Gate puzzle - So, pick up one of the blocks and step on one of the two pressure plates. Press the Crouch button to set it down. Do the same thing with the second block, placing it on the same pressure plate. Their weight is enough to keep the plate down and remove the first lock of the gate. Now step on the second plate and position Lara to the edge, where she can see the ring on the gate (as shown in this screenshot). Use the Grapple to catch it and pull the gate down. Go through the doorway and approach Thor's left gauntlet.

In the cut scene, the gauntlet turns into dust when Lara touches it and a small artifact casting blue light remains. As Lara takes it and places it on her left hand, the stone projects a halo with the shape of a gauntlet around it. While she understands the connection between this place and the legend of Thor, Lara still does not see why her father thought that this place was related to Avalon. Unfortunately, she does not have time to investigate, because a squad of mercenaries are standing behind, aiming at her. At the command of their leader, Lara puts her hands on her head and turns around. Before she even understands that neither weapons nor bribery will help, she is knocked out. When she recovers, she realises that she does not have the artifact nor ammo for her guns. Before blowing up the way out, the last mercenary tells her that Amanda Evert sends her regards.

Approach Thor's statue and break the vases on the left. Pick up the Treasure (20/26) and exit the room. The entrance is now blocked by the rocks, so enter the room on the right. Break the vases in the bottom left corner and pick up the Treasure (21/26). Climb on the stone block (which was not here before the explosion) then into the opening above. Follow the passage, but before entering the next room, locate the vase just to the left of the opening (see here). Break it and pick up the Treasure (22/26).

Room with vertical poles - Go through the opening to reach a room with vertical poles. For now, go to the other side and break the vases on the left. Pick up the Treasure (23/26) and return back to the entrance. Jump to grab the first pole on the right (if the entrance is to your back) and climb to the top. Jump to reach the broken one hanging from the ceiling and again climb to the top. Jump to grab the next broken pole which is shorter and jump again to perch on the next two poles ahead. Finally, jump to the ledge in front of the exit.

Go through the opening and follow the hallway. Crawl under the rocks and when you stand up break the vases on the left and pick up the Treasure (24/26). Follow the hallway to its natural conclusion to return back to the kraken room.

The brief cut scene shows a mercenary running away.

Back to the kraken room - You are back to the kraken room, but this time you will explore the upper ledges that you could not reach before. Go to the right of the platform and use the Grapple to cath the golden ring above. Jump off the platform, swing and jump to the opposite side. To the right is a vase that contains a Treasure (25/26). Get it and go left where you will find a Health Potion. Vault on the nearby stone block and jump to grab the handhold. Then climb on the ledge above. Jump to grab the horizontal pole, swing and jump to the opposite side. Go to the other side and slide down the slope.

Before going through the opening, hang from the edge (as shown in this screenshot) and traverse to the right. Jump to grab the next ledge and again traverse to the right. Pull up and break the vases. Pick up the Treasure (26/26), but do not leave just yet. Continue to the other side of the ledge and jump to the opposite side (as shown in this screenshot). Crawl under the rocks and pick up the Relic from the left. Make your way back to the slope the same way you came.

(Note about the Relics - When you find a Relic, it restores your health and it also raises your maximum amount of health you can have.)

Go through the opening beneath the slope and turn right. Jump to grab the handhold on the left wall and traverse to the right. Release twice to grab the handholds below and finally drop to the ground.

Going back to the boat - You have to return back to the boat, so move away from the kraken room and go down the stairs until you reach the pit. Do not drop down; instead, look left and locate the handhold on the wall (as shown in this screenshot). Grab it and jump up to reach the upper one. Shimmy to the right, jump to grab the next handhold and shimmy right some more. At the end, drop down twice to grab the lower ledge. Shimmy to the right around the three corners and crawl under the stones.

Go down the stairs and turn around the corner. Vault on the rock on the left, climb up to the upper one and jump forward. Drop down at the other side and go down the next satirs. Follow the hallway back to the room with the serpent statues. Jump into the water and climb on the ledge beneath the doorway. Climb through the doorway, climb up the rocks and go through the next doorway. Dive into the water and follow the tunnel back to the room with the Door puzzle. Exit to the open sea and swim up to surface; approach the boat.

In the cut scene, Lara climbs on the boat and spots a ship. It is quite far away, so she uses her camera to zoom in. As she scouts the ship, she spots a couple of mercenaries. The situation probably seems challenging, since Lara drives there.

God of Thunder

Jump from Lara's boat to grab the anchor and jump straight up to grab the chain (press up and Jump). Climb up the chain and when you reach the top, jump to grab metallic outcrop. Pull up and jump up to grab the edge of the hull. Pull up to reach the upper deck.

If you take a look on the left, you will be able to see a mercenary patrolling on the lower deck. If you want, you can kill him from here, but make sure you have a more powerful weapon than the Pistols (Assault Rifle is a good option, followed by the Submachine guns). Drop down and pick up the Health Pack just ahead.

Deck with stacked containres - Go down the stairs and be on your toes. Two more mercenaries are hiding behind the containers, so kill them both. There are various fuel tanks around that you can explode if an enemy is nearby, but make sure you are not too close because the mercenaries can also shoot at them. Once the coast is clear, go to the other side of the deck.

You need to climb on the last stack of containers which is the tallest one (as shown in this screenshot). To do that, you have to perform the Chimney Jump between the tall and the one that is closest (and shorter) stack of containers (see this screenshot). Once you are up there, you will see a mercenary with a shotgun patrolling on the upper deck. Kill him from here, and if you want to finish him quickly, throw him a sticky grenade.

Upper deck - When you are done, jump to the deck that offers two ways; left and right. Both lead to the stern, however the left way hides two mercenaries whilst the right one hides just one. There are four more mercenaries in the area with the circular platform, so kill them all. When you aim at an enemy and run towards him, press the Interact button to kick him. Once he falls down, shoot to finish him. When everything that moves is down, pick up the Health Pack close to the right hand stairs.

Helipad/ stern - Go down the stairs and kill the two mercenaries that are patrolling behind the crates close to the helicopters. Pick up the Health Pack beside the second helicopter and go down the stairs on either side to reach the stern. Four mercenaries are guarding the doorway, so be careful and do not burst in. Instead, take them one by one, using the sticky grenades and the protection of the wooden crates (beware that the bullets will destroy the crates after a while, so you have to be quick). Pick up the Health Pack near the doorway and go through it.

Inside the ship - There is a mercenary just ahead behind the crates, so take care of him. Go left and down the stairs. The doors open automatically as you approach, so go through it. Follow the corridir around to the right and kill two more mercenaries. Then go down the next flight of stairs. The door again opens automatically, so go through it and around to the right.

In the cut scene, the squad leader appears and shoots at Lara who hides behind a metallic structure. When she looks up, Lara realises that it is not an electric box but a gas pipe and that the gas is already leaking. Lara flees and the squad leader is on her heels but the tank explodes an instant later, killing the mercenary instantly.

The boat is now damaged and a siren is ringing out. Head forward and go down the stairs. Follow the corridor, turn left and go up the steps.

The cut scene shows Lara sneaking into a room. Upstairs, Amanda Evert is holding the gauntlet from the underwater temple. Amanda complains that the glove is too small for her hand, and a second, feminine voice answers that only Lara can use it now. Amanda notices that the boat is sinking and leaves with a frustration sigh.

Lara enters the room. She sees a winged silhouette from the back, inside a glass container. The creature says she is pleased to see Lara and turns around. It is Jacqueline Natla, the well-known Atlantean queen. Lara now knows that it was Natla who told Amanda about the Avalon. The time is short, so Lara has to choose her questions carefully. When Lara asks her how the Norse mythology is connected to Avalon, Natla answers that the Dais found by Lara and her mother (as shown in Tomb Raider Legend), are part of a kind of network. According to Natla, Lara’s father was not looking at the right place for his missing wife: Lady Croft was in Hellheim, the Norse version of Avalon. The time is ticking; the locks holding Natla’s container are released, and Natla just has enough time to tell Lara that she will need Thor’s Hammer to be able to enter Hellheim and that the key to find that artifact is in Coastal Thailand. The container starts to elevate, taken away by a helicopter.

Realm of the Dead

During this part of the level, you have to find the way out before the boat sinks. You do not have to rush though, as the boat will not sink while you are still inside. Avoid the flames and the steam springing from the pipes, because they can damage Lara badly.

Go through the opened doorway ahead. The one behind you is where you came from. Turn left and go down the steps. There is nothing on the ledge with the fires ahead, so turn right and then left around the corner. Again, avoid the fires on the left and go up the steps on the right. The door will automatically open, so go throuhg it.

Enter the steamy corridor and head forward. The ground is shaking and the ship is slowly turning upside down. Turn left, pass the corner and carefully walk forward; crates and trunks are falling from the shelves, so run past them. At the end of the corridor, a few crates are set on fire. Turn right and you will end in an ascending corridor. Notice the flaming barrels at the other side and get ready for a situational adrenaline. Run up the corridor, sticking to the right hand wall. An explosion occours and the barrels roll down. Sprint to the right or jump over them. The ground shakes and turns again. Follow the passage until what seems to be a dead-end. Be careful with the metallic plates falling from the left.

Climbing up the first wall - (The following sequence of jumps is shown in these screenshots). First, jump to grab the metal bar on the left. Jump up to grab the valves above and move to the right until you grab the ladder (if you hang from the very right side of the bar, jumping up causes Lara to directly grab the ladder). Climb to the top of the ladder and move to the right to grab the valves. Climb dioagonally upwards and to the right and jump straight up to grab the next set of valves above. Move to the left, grab the ladder and climb to the top. Wait for the metallic boxes to fall from the ceiling and move to the left to grab the valves. Jump up to grab the metal bar, then the next one above. Finally, jump to grab the last metal bar and traverse to the left and around the corner; pull up.

Climbing up the second wall - Follow the corridor until the next ladder. (The following sequence of jumps is shown in these screenshots) Grab it and climb to the top. Jump straight up to grab the top of the grating, then the valves above. Move upwards and to the right, following the valves. When you reach the end, jump up to grab the next set of valves above. Move upwards, then to the left to grab the metal bar. Traverse a bit to the left and jump to grab the ledge behind you. Finally, jump to grab the ledge above and pull up.

The cut scene shows the sinking cargo. Lara opens the door and stands on it while Amanda escapes, holding a rope hanging from a helicopter. Lara shoots at her several times and one of the bullets harms Amanda’s cheek. Scared, Amanda throws the gauntlet away, into the Mediterranean Sea. Holstering her gun, Lara performs a swan dive and catches the artifact. While the helicopter flies away, Lara surfaces and steps on her yacht.
