ANTARCTICA: Lost City of Tinnos

(Note about the statistics - The number of kills may vary, depending on how many wasps appear throughout the level. There are some points where you can avoid their appearance or they do not appear at all.)

Courtyard of ruined city - Head forwards. The door opens as you approach and you find yourself into a courtyard of a ruined city. Go up the ramps at the far left and climb up the ladder. Follow the passage until you reach a switch, which is next to an opening and two more passages. Throw the switch to open a door below and go through the passage on the left of the switch (not the one that leads to a closed gate). At the end, you will see an opening on the left hand side. Walk to the edge and take one step backwards. Now jump forwards to land on the pillar below. Turn right and take a running jump to grab the opposite ledge (above the entrance). Pull up and pick up the Rocket (or the Rocket Launcher if you do not have it) and the Crystal. Safely drop down.

Again, go up the ramps at the far left, but this time go through the door you just opened. To do that, stand on either block alongside the entrance and take a diagonal standing jump from the back corner of the block. For example, if you are on the right hand block, stand in the back left corner and take a diagonal standing jump to the left. Cross the hallway and pick up the Uli Key from the alcove on the right hand side. Go back to the courtyard and head to the left (or to the far right if the entrance of the courtyard is to your back). Use the Uli Key to the keyhole to open both gates.

Get inside and climb up the ladder. Dismount on either side or back-lip to the ledge behind. Go to the left and if you want throw the switch to open the gate (quick access). Drop through the opening on the left hand side, which is half covered by the snow, and then drop to the ledge below. Use the switch at the end. The camera shows you an area you (may) have not been in yet.

Climb back up and continue forwards. Slide down the ramp, pass the big double door and use the switch in front of the slide to open the doors. This switch along with the previous one raises a block with a ladder at the front, in the room you saw by using the previous switch (this means you need to use both switches)

[Note (CONTAINS SPOILERS) - There is a shortcut you can take and avoid getting the Uli Key. That way you will enter the puzzle area without it. Not though, that you may want to take it. If you do not mind a SPOILER, later on, you will need to find and use a second Uli Key. If you still have the first one, you do not have to find the second. Then you can use the first one and avoid facing two nasty enemies that guard the second key. If you are interested about the shortcut, take a look in this page.]

Button puzzle - Exit to the courtyard and go to the far left to enter the room with the raised block. Climb up the ladder to reach a ledge with five buttons. Here you need to push the correct buttons and open the gate below. Each button has some figures on it. The arrows behind the buttons point downwards, which means that you need to read the figures from top to bottom. The puzzle is based on the food chain and you need to examine each button separately.

5. Human - Bird - Plant » The human can eat the bird, and the bird can eat the plant Valid

So, from the five buttons, use the first, the second and the fifth ones (from left to right). Drop down and go through the gate that just opened.

Broken bridge\ wasp hive - 21 wasps (!!) will start showing themselves from the alcove on the right above, as soon as you reach the middle of the bridge. The good thing is that they are coming one by one. Even if you are not interested in all kills, spend five minutes and kill them, because you will not be able to move freely in the next part. Equip the Pistols with unlimited ammo and stand on the either right or left hand raised ledge of the bridge. Turn towards the cave and start shooting the wasps when they show up and Lara auto-aims at them. You have enough time before they reach you. Once you are done, do NOT backtrack to the button room and then come back. You will trigger their appearance again and you will need to kill 21 more wasps (which is annoying and not difficult).

The following sequence (for reaching the second part of the broken bridge and the retrieval of the Secret) is shown in this page.

Go to the broken part of the bridge and turn left. Take a running jump to grab the edge of the snowy cave and pull up. Get the Crystal at the end and return back to the entrance of the cave. Walk to edge and turn left (the bridge should be on your right). Take a standing jump over the slide, walk forwards to the edge of the ledge and jump up to grab the rocky ledge above. Pull up. Turn right and take a running jump to grab the ledge of the tall structure. Pull up, turn left and carefully walk to the end. Turn right and vault onto the upper ledge. Use the Look button to locate the flat ledge on the other side of the structure. Jump to this ledge.

1st Secret - If you want the Secret, you need to reach the wasp hive and this includes a couple of jumps on invisible platforms (if you are not interested, you can safely drop down to the second part of the bridge - skip to the next paragraph). So, jump on the flat triangular ledge on the right, towards the first part of the bridge. The first invisible platform is between the two tall structures, above the gap of the bridge. Light a Flare to locate the platform, in case you will not make it the first time. Stand in the front right corner of the triangular ledge and take a standing jump, pressing Action to grab the invisible platform. Or, from the back corner, take a running jump to land on it. From the middle of the platform, take a standing jump to the left triangular ledge of the next tall structure. Then, jump to its next triangular ledge. A Flare will help you locate the second invisible platform. Take a standing jump on it and then a running jump to the hive. Pick up the Small Medi Pack (be careful of the hole), the Desert Eagle Clips and the Grenades. Carefully make your way back to the tall structure of the second part of the bridge the same way you came. Safely drop down.

Second part of the bridge - There is a dark path on the left with a Small Medi Pack. Get it and enter the tunnel on the right hand side. Follow it to the end to reach a second bridge. Two big mutants attack as soon as you reach the middle of the bridge. They shoot energy bolts, so side-jump to avoid them, being careful not to fall down. You had better use a powerful weapon, like the Rocket or Grenade Launcher. Two shots are enough for each. Once you are done, take a look beneath the bridge and to the left. The gray door (as shown in this screenshot) includes the level's final Secret that you will get later. For now go up the steps and carefully pass the two swinging burners. Six wasps will come from their hive at the top of the room. You can kill them or totally avoid them. If you decide to kill them, do not backtrack close to the swinging burners or you will trigger their appearance again and you will need to kill six more wasps.

In the next room, you can see an opening above a ladder. This is the 2nd Secret but you cannot reach it now. The right hand opening leads to some stairs that take you up. The left hand opening takes you down. From the right opening you need to collect four Oceanic Masks and from the left an Uli Key. All these will open the exit and you can complete each part in any order you like. We first go through the right hand opening.

Crossed four walkways\ pillar of light - Go to the right and up the stairs. Here you can see four walkways and a pillar of light in the middle. Each walkway leads to an open gate and if you take a look on the curved blocks alongside each entrance, you will see some symbols that represent the four ancient elements: earth, air, fire and water. The deal here is to find four Oceanic Masks and place them to the receptacles below. You can follow each opening in any order you like. Be careful not to fall through the light or you will get burned.

[Note - We explore the four openings starting from the Earth area. However, there is a sensitive part in there which may prevent you from getting the 2nd Secret. You may want to complete it last in order to avoid activating a bug (as described below when you get the 2nd Secret). At least you will not have to get through all the other areas again, plus you will avoid overwriting a useful saved game.]

Earth area - Go through the opening, which is is next to the entrance you came from. The gate closes behind you, so approach the swamp. Drop into and go to the right, having your weapons drawn. On your way, up to five wasps will appear. You may need to turn around and shoot them whilst moving backwards. Keep going until you reach a cave on your right (there are steps at the front). The ledge you can climb on is on the same level with the swamp (as shown in this screenshot). So, do not try to climb on the rocks around.

(Note - Rommie, a PS player, told us that these five wasps do not appear in the PS version.)

If you are interested about the Secrets, there is something you need to do now before entering the cave, and it is shown in this page (otherwise, skip to the next paragraph). Once you climb out of the swamp, turn around and walk to the front left corner of the ledge. Turn right 45 degrees and jump to the rock that seems like a slide. From there, jump to the sloped ledge of the central rock structure. Turn left and locate the opening in the left hand wall. Take a running jump to the ledge beneath the opening and if you accidentally land on the slide on the left of the ledge, immediately press Action to grab the edge. Then you can shimmy to the right and pull up onto the ledge. Pull into the opening and drop down on the other side. Pck up the Small Medi Pack and throw the switch ONCE to drop a block from the ceiling onto the floor, back to the room whith the two swinging burners. This will give you the access to the 2nd Secret. Climb back out and make your way back to the ledge above the swamp.

(Bug note - The block that just fell down is a movable one. Make sure you do NOT use the switch twice or you may activate a bug where the block is not solid and you cannot climb on it.)

Climb up the blocks and enter the cave. Follow the path until you reach a fork. Go to the right and kill the wasp. Continue through the cave until you reach a bridge above the swamp. Cross it to the end and enter the small room beyond. Pick up the Oceanic Mask #1 from the block.

This starts an earthquake and it will not stop until you leave this area. Do not be in a hurry to leave and do not run like a madman. The cave is not about to break apart. Watch your steps, because rocks fall from above. Until you reach the end of the bridge, just Walk. The rocks will fall in front you and they will not squish you. If you have troubles with the falling rocks, take the shortcut which is decsribed below.

Go to the left hand side of the fork and take a running jump over the lava pit. Follow the path until you reach the area where the swamp was. Be careful not to fall down, because instead of the swamp there is a deep chasm. From the lowest step, take a running jump over the chasm to the flat ledge of the central structure. Immediately hop backwards and grab the edge in order to avoid the falling rocks. Pull up and jump to the next flat ledge on the the right hand side, which is attached on the central structure. Walk to the end and locate the opening on the right below. Take a running jump to the ledge in front of the opening and immediately enter to avoid the falling rocks.

(Shortcut - If the earthquake is not helpful at all and you cannot leave this area, take a shortcut. Once you exit the room with the Mask, proceed a bit until the first three set of rocks that fall down. Move a bit to the right and behind the sloped rock. Turn around and slide backwards to drop on the ledge just before the exit. See this screenshot if you are not sure where you need to slide. Or, if you want to land directly in front of the exit, proceed until the end of the bridge, but do not go through the opening. Instead, turn right and take a look below in order to locate the exit. Take a running jump on the ledge in front of the exit, pressing Action at the same time in order to make Lara land directly inside and avoid the falling rocks. This screenshot shows the location.)

Jump to grab the ladder on the right and climb to the bottom. Follow the passage and slide down to reach two swinging burners. Crawl beneath the first burner and get the Desert Eagle Clips from the alcove on the right hand side. Carefully pass the second burner (keep crawling if you like) and throw the switch to open a trapdoor above the ladder ahead. The trapdoor is on a slow timer, but you will not have a problem if you do not waste time here. Once at the top, enter the alcove with the closed gate on your right that opens as you approach. You are at the bottom of the pillar room, so go up either of the stairs to get back to the four walkways.

(Note - You may or may not encounter a couple of wasps here, depending on if you killed them all before and if they found their way here. Also, do not place the Mask until you get all four. Also, you can go and get the 2nd Secret if you like.)

Air area - The gate behind you closes, so continue ahead. This is a maze and the deal here is to reach a ramp at the far right corner. There are six pick-ups around (Shotgun Shells, Grenades, two Small Medi Packs, Uzi Clips and Flares - note though that you need to push a movable block to get one of the Medi Packs and the Flares) and only one wasp in the far left corner where the movable block is located. If you are not interested about the pick-ups, follow the right hand path at the beginning of the maze and always turn right, unless you find a dead end. This image is a visual guidance, which shows the location for each pick-up. The black line represents the quickest route, ignoring the pick-ups.

Once you find the ramp, go to the top. Here you can see two more ramps - one on each side. Avoid the middle path because it leads to a lava pit. There are two spiked rolls at the top of each ramp,. Walk up either of the ramps and side-jump to the other to avoid the roll. Immediately side-jump to the previous ramp in order to avoid the next spiked roll. Two more spiked rolls are at the top. Follow the same procedure to get passed them.

When you step on the block with the Oceanic Mask #2, a door on the right hand side opens. Get the Mask and go through the door. Wait a bit in the corner and the door will close, revealing a passage behind. Follow it and drop into the pool below. Climb out on the other side and return to the room with the pillar light through the gate that opens as you approach.

Fire area - The gate closes behind you, so enter the cave ahead. There is a lava pit on the other side and some pillars with burners at the top. Only one is on now, and some ignite when you step on them. You need to find the safe pillars, so climb on the block to the right and light a Flare. The camera will show you a map on the ceiling that shows the safe pillars, but in case you are having troubles, see this screenshot.

Approach the pit from the left hand side and take a running jump to the leftmost and closest one. From here, take another running jump to the pillar ahead that is next to the wall. Turn right and take a running jump to grab the next pillar that is also next to the wall. Pull up. Now take a running jump to the pillar with the Large Medi Pack and the Shotgun Shells. Quickly pick them up and back-flip onto the previous pillar, because the current one will ignite in a while. Again take a running jump to the pillar with the pick-ups and yet another running jump to the exit.

There is a trapdoor exactly ahead and a Large Medi Pack beyond, protected by a spiked roll. Do not try to get the Medi Pack or the roll will kill you.

(Note - If you badly need the Medi Pack, do this: First, jump over the trapdoor, so as not to fall down. Step on the square where the Medi Pack is and jump backwards to avoid the spiked roll. From now on, the roll cannot hurt you. Stand on the either left or right facing the roll and start jumping forwards. Keep pressing the Jump and the Up direction keys until you see Lara getting inside the roll (as shown in this screenshot). Stop when Lara reaches the middle of the roll. Turn to face the Medi Pack and again jump forwards as before. Eventually, Lara will stand above the Medi Pack (like in this screenshot). Stop, crouch and get the Medi Pack. To get out, turn to face the trapdoor and keep jumping forwards.)

Room with four fire breathing statues - Fall through the trapdoor and slide down to reach a room with four fire breathing statues. The deal here is to get to the other side using the three invisible platforms, without getting burned.

Walk to the edge and take a standing jump to grab the first invisible platform. The statue breathes from the left, so shimmy to the very right. This will give you some time in order to avoid the flame, as it is about to come back again. Use the Look button to check its sequence. When the flame is about to go out, pull up and without walking at all take a standing jump to grab the second invisible platform. The statue here breathes from the right, so shimmy to the very left. Again, wait for the flame to go out, pull up and without walking at all take a standing jump to grab the third platform. The statue here breathes from the left, so shimmy to the very right.

Alternatively, after pulling up onto the first ledge, you can start running and make a running jump with grab. Lara will jump over (and totally avoid) the second platform and she will grab the third one.

When the flame is about to go out, pull up, turn right and take a standing jump to grab the ledge whith the switch. Pull up and use the switch to turn off the flames on the forth statue. Turn around and take a standing jump to grab the third invisible platform. Shimmy to the left and when the flames go out, pull up, turn right and take a running jump to the ledge in front of the gate.

The gate opens as you approach, but do not be in a hurry to enter. There is a swinging burner inside. Go around it and get the Oceanic Mask #3 from the block. Go through the door that opened when you stepped on the block and follow the passage. Once again, go through the gate that opens as you approach to return to the room with the pillar light. Go up either of stairs.

Water area - The gate closes behind you, so approach the opening that overlooks the pool. There are two rotating blade wheels below, so do not rush to drop into. Turn around and drop backwards to grab the edge. When a blade passes beneath you, release to drop into the pool. By the time you reach the point where the blade is, it should have already moved to the left. When you drop into the pool, you will find yourself between the two rotating wheels. Carefully swim to the left or right and approach the backside of the pool. Surface to get some air and climb on the ledge, sticking to the wall. That way, the blades will not reach you, even if you stand. Crouch and crawl through the opening. Drop into the small pool and get the Large Medi Pack from the bottom. Return back to the entrance of the crawlspace.

Crawl out and backwards to drop into the pool. Again, you will find yourself between the two rotating wheels. Carefully get passed the bottom wheel and swim through the tunnel at the bottom. Start swimming when a blade passes in front of you. Until you reach the point it is, it should have already moved. Do this for the upcoming blade wheels. The tunnel leads you to a room with four square openings with a blade wheel at the front. Swim through the left hand opening where you can surface. Pull the underwater lever to open a trapdoor in the right hand opening. This is timed, so roll and swim outside. Cut to the left making a U turn to enter the opening and swim upwards until you can surface.

Room with 4 rotating blades - Get oriented with the area. Use the Look button and you will see some Uzi Clips on a ledge to the one side and Desert Eagle Clips on a ledge to the other. Two rotating blade wheels protect both ways and beyond the ledges you can see a still blade wheel, which starts rotating when you swim above the ledge. First, carefully get the two pickups. Now you can do either:

1. Swim above the ledge you got the Uzi Clips and through the blades, swimming from the right hand side, to enter an alcove with a lever. Pull it to open a gate on the same wall below. If you attempt to swim downwards from here, the blades will definitely cut you. Return where you can surface and swim from the bottom, beneath the ledge and through the now open gate.

2. Swim to the bottom and beneath the blades, heading to the opposite direction of the closed gate. Enter the tunnel and keep swimming, keeping an eye on the left hand wall where you will find a lever. Pull it to open the gate you saw before and a gate at the end of the tunnel (through the narrow passage). Ignore the latter and return to the room with the 4 rotating blades. Swim through the gate you just opened. (Do not bother with the lever in the alcove at the upper right of the gate, or you will close the gate again).

Surface and climb out of the water. Get the Oceanic Mask #4 from the block and the Crystal from the alcove on the right hand side. Throw the switch to open a gate back to the room with the four openings. The gate is after following the bottom opening, so this is where you need to go now. Jump into the water and swim forwards, getting past the four rotating blade wheels. Enter the tunnel and keep swimming. If you followed the first way as described above, you have to pull the lever on the left hand wall in order to open a gate at the end of the tunnel. If you followed the second way, you do not need to do that. Get the MP5 Clips in front of the gate and swim through it to return back to the room with the four openings (if you badly need some air, swim through the upper opening). Swim through the bottom opening and through the open gate on the right. The current will push you to a hallway where you can surface.

Wave forwards and swim through the tunnel on the other side. Follow it to the end until you can climb out. Use the switch to open the trapdoor below you and fall through it. Go to the left and through the gate that opens as you approach to return back to the room with the pillar of light.

You now have four Oceanic Masks, but you miss a Key. You can place the Masks now or wait until you get the Key. Go up the steps to reach the upper part of the room and follow the opening on the right hand side to return back to the room with the two swinging burners.

2nd Secret - If you used the switch back in the Earth area, there should be a movable block now close to the ladder. Push\ pull it beneath the ladder, climb on the block and then climb up the ladder. Crawl beneath the swinging burner and through the opening beyond. Get the Crystal and the Large Medi Pack and crawl back out.

[Bug note - If you came to this point and found that the movable block is not solid and you cannot climb on it, it means you activated a bug, back in the Earth area by using the switch more than once. To fix this, you can either load a previous saved game before using the switch (and if you followed our advice before, the Earth area should be the last one) or use the corner bug to reach the top of the ledge opposite the Secret area. The PC players can download a saved game from our Saved Games section.]

Room with 3 big mutants - Go to the other side of the area with the two swinging burners and head through the opening. At the end, use the switch to open the gate. When you go through it, it closes behind you. The gate ahead is closed, but it opens as you enter the room releasing a big mutant. Two more big mutants come outside from the other two open gates when you approach the middle of the room. First, take care the single mutant and then trigger the other two. If you want, you can climb up the ladder on the right side of the entrance (if the entrance is to your back), turn around and jump to the opposite ledge. The ceiling is low, but this does not prevent you from landing on the opposite ledge. Stand in the back corner of the low block at the end and take care of the mutants (this screenshot shows where you need to stand). Then drop down.

Go through the left hand gate and use the switch to raise a platform outside. Exit and climb onto the gray block on the left hand side. Take a standing jump to grab the platform you raised and follow the ledge around until you reach a crawlspace. Crawl through it to reach the next room.

Big room with ledges and platforms - The deal here is to open the double door at the bottom of the room. What follows is a series of jumps, switches and raising platforms. It may seem complicated, but if you are careful and notice which platform is on and down, you will get the point. For visual guidance, see this page.

First, pass the swinging burner in order to reach the end of the ledge. Turn left and take a running jump to the opposite ledge where another swinging burner is (start running when the opposite swinging burner is on the left). Crawl through the opening and pick up the Flares and the Uzi Clips. Crawl back out and take a running jump back to the first ledge.

The crawlspace you entered this room should be on your right. Take a running jump to the ledge ahead and a bit to the left. Crawl through the opening and use the first switch. No, this did not do anything because you need to use another switch. Crawl back out and, having the crawlspace to the back of you, take a diagonal running jump to the ledge on the right. Crawl through the opening and use the second switch. What just happened: this along with the first switch raised two platforms exactly below you. The second switch (as standalone) lowered the platform beneath where you got the Flares and Uzi Clips. Crawl back out.

Having the crawlspace to the back of you, drop to the block on the right hand side and then to the ledge below. Hang from the ledge and drop to the lower one in the corner. You should now face another platform (if the entrance of this room is on your right. There should also be a long walkway on your right). Take a running jump to that platform and then a standing one to the ledge below. Turn right and you will see the third switch below. All the area in front of the double doors (the pinkish) is a trigger zone for fourteen wasps that will emerge from their hive above the pool. If you are not willing to deal with them, just avoid that area. This means that you need to take a standing jump over this area in order to reach the switch.

(Note - These wasps do not appear in the PS version, according again to Rommie.)

Use the third switch to raise a platform exactly above you and a bit to the left (this platform will help you use the fourth switch). Climb on the block to the left, walk to the edge and take a standing jump to grab the ledge ahead. Pull up and turn around. Take a running jump to grab the platform you just raised and use the fourth switch. This lowers the platform you are currently standing on and raises the platform beneath the long walkway. Either side-jump to the left to land on the pinkish ledge, avoiding falling down, or fall down and jump to grab the pinkish ledge.

Having the fourth switch to the back of you, turn left and take a standing jump to grab the platform above (you passed before from this platform). Then, take a running jump to the platform in the corner. The platform you just raised is on your left, but you cannot reach it. So, turn around and jump up to grab the upper ledge. Pull up and climb on the block. From there, climb on the ledge in front of the crawlspace with the second switch. Crawl through the opening and use the second switch again. This raises the platform beneath where you got the Flares and the Uzi Clips and it will help you get to the platform below the long walkway (you also lowered the two platforms below you, but you do not need them anymore).

Crawl back out and drop to the block to the right, then to the ledge below. Turn left and jump to the platform beneath where you got the Flares and the Uzi Clips. You now need to jump to the platform beneath the long walkway and this is quite tricky. Walk up to the edge and take one step backwards. Take a standing jump without pressing Action (or you will grab the walkway) and you will land on the platform. Jump up to grab the bars and traverse to the other side. Use the fifth switch to open the double doors and raise a platform next to the alcove. You are done!

Now what's the deal: If you are interested or not about the Secrets. If you are not interested, you choose the easy way (skip to the next paragraph). If you are interested about the Secrets, you need to be prepared for a marathon. In order to get the level's (and game's) final Secret, you need to reach the area back with the two swinging burners, close where you got the 2nd Secret. For your information you need to use the final switch of the room in order to open the door for the Secret and run, because this door is timed. Because you will need to pass through an area you have not been in yet (behind the double doors you just opened), we suggest you to go there and get oriented, learn the way and use a switch to open a gate that will probably spend some of your precious seconds. Then you can come back here and start the running.

Behind the double doors - To get down without losing health, traverse back to the previous platform, turn left and take a standing jump towards the hive, pressing Action to land into the pool below. Climb out and go through the doors you opened to reach an area with shallow pools. Up to 35 wasps will show up from their hive in the ceiling and another hive from the far right. (These wasps do not appear in the PS version, according again to Rommie.) Two big mutants also appear - one from the back left corner and one when you pass through the openings on the right hand wall. The Uli Key #2 is in the back right corner and onto a ledge. To get out of here, head to the far left corner and climb up the ladder.

(Note - If you followed the shortcut mentioned at the start of the level and described here, you still have the Uli Key #1 in your inventory. As soon as you enter the area with the shallow pools, do not go searching for the Uli Key #2. Dash directly to the far left corner, sticking to the left, and climb the ladder. You will not trigger the wasps and you will not have to deal with the two mutants.)

Use the switch to open the gate that leads back to the room with the pillar light. If you are not interested about the Secrets, use the Uli Key to the keyhole next to the switch and place the four Masks to the receptacles. Drop through the hole and slide down the ramp to end the level.

3rd Secret - In order to get the 3rd Secret, you need to reach the room with the platforms and ledges. From the room with the pillar light, go up the stairs and head back to the room, close where you got the 2nd Secret. Continue to the other side to reach the room you killed the three big mutants (use the switch to open the gate and enter the room). Climb on the block at the far left and go around the ledges to reach the crawlspace that leads to the room with the ledges and platforms. From the ledge with the first swinging burner, drop to the long walkway below (or hang and drop) and climb up the block to reach the sixth switch. If you did not kill the wasps before, they may attack now. So, stay sharp.

You have two minutes to reach the door that the camera shows you when you flip the switch. The first thing that you need to find out is how to get down. We show one way, although you may find your own. We are going to use the platform that we raised after using the fifth switch. Make sure you have enough health or Lara will die, as this is a long drop down. You can also re-arrange the platforms and get down without getting a Medi Pack, but you will need more time to use the platforms in order to reach the ground. You probably already know the way, but we will show it along with tips on how you can go faster and where you can save.

Use the switch, press the Look button to break the camera and roll. Start sprinting, but before reaching the end of the hallway, release the Sprint button and run diagonally to the left to land on the platform you raised when you used the fifth switch. Hop backwards, pressing Action to grab the platform and release (save while in midair because this is a "dead" time).

[Alternatively, throw the switch, roll, dash on the walkway and when you reach the point where there is the crack on the left hand wall, turn slightly to the left, jump towards the wall and press Action to lower Lara's angle and make her land safely in the pool below - she will not lose any health this way, but note that you will need to swim out of the pool, losing a few seconds, so make sure that you have enough time in order to do this.]

When Lara hits the ground, she kneels. Whilst that, you can pivot her a bit to the right in order to aim the doors. When she stands, start running, jumping at the same time. Do NOT sprint until you reach the doors. The raised ledges around will cut Lara's momentum. You will reach the door faster if you jump. Once you pass through the doors, cut to the right to enter the room with the shallow pools. Sprint to the far left where the ladder is (ignore any wasp here). When the sprint bar is about to end, release the Sprint button and jump. You earn more distance by normally jumping than performing a low somersault by jumping whilst sprinting. Grab the ladder and climb to the top. When you dismount to the left, Lara will low her legs. Before she stands up save your game (besides, the time until she stands up is a "dead" time as you cannot do anything whilst that).

Turn left and sprint to the room with the pillar light, making an open turn to the right whilst sprinting to avoid hitting on the statue. Go up the right set of stairs, jumping at the same time. Do NOT sprint whilst heading up the stairs. Sprint to the opening, but release just before the turn. Go down the steps by normally running and jump to the edge of the opening that leads you back where you got the 2nd Secret, turning left in midair (whilst in midair, you can save).

To get past the swinging burners, do it by either luck or hesitating a bit if you think you have done well so far. Run at the middle and decide to go to the either left or right just before you reach them. Once you pass them, sprint to the end of the bridge, turning right. Run off the block below, keep pressing forwards to drop onto the lower blocks and sprint to the door (that we hope it is still open by now). Inside you will find a Crystal, some Desert Eagle Clips and a Large Medi Pack. If the door closes whilst you are inside, use the switch to open it.

To return back up to the bridge, take a standing jump over the slide (opposite the Secret) and climb on the brown block to the left. Take a standing jump to grab the snowy block on the right and pull up. Turn left and stand against the slide. Side-jump to the left if necessary and take a diagonal standing jump to the left to grab the next snowy ledge. Pull up, climb on the block to the left and jump to grab the bridge; pull up. Make your way back to the room with the pillar light. If you have not done so, use the Uli Key to the keyhole next to the switch and place the four Masks to the receptacles. Drop through the hole and slide down the ramp to end the level.

In the cut scene Lara is running outside. Doctor Willard places the fours artifacts and the earth starts to shake. Lara falls down from the ledge and Willard is standing in front of the crater, raising the meteor. He then falls into the crater and Lara is running towards it, as she cannot believe what she saw. We then see the transformed Willard into an ugly big creature.
