Rumours
suggesting that Eidos chairman Ian Livingstone
was about to relinquish his role, fueled by the
companies reluctance to make a definitive comment
on the situation, have been denied by Eidos, according
to a report by MCV. Mike McGarvey, Eidos recently
appointed CEO, has said that the rumours are misplaced
and Livingtone will play a big part in the companies
future.
"While
Eidos has announced that we are seeking to appoint
a third independent non-executive director, we
have at no time said we are looking for a new
chairman. Ian is the executive chairman of Eidos
and is central to our plans for the future."
