FORMER TOMB RAIDER ROLLER COASTER RIDE FACES CLOSURE

Canada's Wonderland has announced the permanent closure of its Time Warp roller coaster, formerly Tomb Raider: The Ride, according to a report by the Toronto Sun. A spokesperson for the amusement park in Vaughan stated that the ride 'is being retired and will be removed before the park opens in May.'

TOMB RIDE COMING TO EAST COAST

Thrill Network scores this info on a third Tomb Raider The Ride attraction for the East Coast. Paramount's Kings Dominion season passholders got the inside scoop on the park's new 2005 attraction. In flyers mailed last week, the park announced the addition of Tomb Raider: The Ride... an attraction identical to the one at PKD's sibling park, Paramount's Kings Island. PKI installed Tomb Raider: The Ride for their 2002 season, and is one of the most immersive, heavily-themed attractions at any of the Paramount Parks.

WONDERLAND ACQUIRES TOMB RAIDER RIDE

Paramount's Kings Island has just acquired a Canadian counterpart with the announced launch of the first aerial rollercoaster based on the Lara Croft Tomb Raider motion pic. Paramount Canada's Wonderland bills the new Tomb Raider Ride as the thrills of a rollercoaster while experiencing the sensation of flying. The attraction will debut beginning of the 2004 holiday season at Paramount Canada's Wonderland amusement park.
