TOMB RAIDER LEGEND MARKS TWENTY-YEAR ANNIVERSARY SINCE RELEASE

Today marks twenty years since Tomb Raider Legend, the first Lara Croft-helmed video game under the aegis of Crystal Dynamics, was released in the United Kingdom and Europe on Windows, Xbox, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 2. Tomb Raider Legend marked a major turning point for the Tomb Raider series, as it was the first entry to be developed by Crystal Dynamics following their reboot of the franchise.

TOMB RAIDER REBOOT MARKS THIRTEEN-YEAR ANNIVERSARY MILESTONE

Today marks thirteen years since the opening salvo of the Tomb Raider Survivor Trilogy debuted around the world. The Tomb Raider reboot, developed by US-based video game developer Crystal Dynamics, was released on this day in March of 2013, for Windows PC, Sony PlayStation 3, and Microsoft Xbox 360.

OFFICIAL ASSETS CELEBRATING TOMB RAIDER 30 CATALOGUED AND PRESERVED

Five years ago, Tomb Raider Chronicles launched the Tomb Raider 25 Asset Tracker, organising and publishing more than 60GB of official assets provided by Crystal Dynamics to mark the franchise's twenty-fifth anniversary. The initiative created a centralised public archive of official materials celebrating Lara Croft's legacy. To coincide with the thirtieth anniversary, the site has now introduced the Tomb Raider 30 Asset Tracker, continuing its work in cataloguing and archiving official assets released as part of the current commemorations.

TOMB RAIDER THE LAST REVELATION MARKS TWENTY-SIX YEAR ANNIVERSARY

The sixth title marking a milestone in November is Tomb Raider The Last Revelation. Developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive in November 1999, the fourth video-game in the Tomb Raider series is celebrating twenty-six years since its release on Windows and PlayStation.

TOMB RAIDER II MARKS TWENTY-EIGHT YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Arguably the finest title in the series, Tomb Raider II: Starring Lara Croft marks the twenty-eighth anniversary of its release on Windows and PlayStation. Developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive in November 1997, Tomb Raider II follows Lara Croft as she travels the globe in search of a magical artefact, the Dagger of Xian, reputed to grant its possessor the power of a fire-breathing dragon. The Fiamma Nera, led by Marco Bartoli, is also in pursuit of the artefact and will stop at nothing to obtain it.
