PARAMOUNT PICTURES IN THEATRE FEUD

A promotional dispute between Paramount Pictures and Regal Entertainment Group has resulted in the Tomb Raider sequel Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life being pulled from 47 theatre complexes across the U.S., according to the Hollywood Reporter. Laden with an army of commercial partners including Daimler Chrysler Jeep - the new vehicle of choice for Lara Croft - Paramount Pictures has reportedly failed to negotiate an agreement to counter Regal Entertainment's policy of not promoting any third-party brands in its theatres without due compensation.

KORN TO PERFORM IN TOMB RAIDER SEQUEL

U.S. band Korn have recorded a brand new track for the forthcoming Paramount Pictures action adventure sequel Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life starring Oscar winner Angelina Jolie as British aristocrat Lara Croft. The new track, titled Did My Time will be used in a scene in the movie, but won't appear on the motion picture soundtrack album. Radio stations will begin broadcasting Did My Time across the airwaves June 23, ahead of the official Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life launch on July 25th.

BLUE TULIP SCORES TOMB RAIDER SEQUEL

Blue Tulip Productions, a Santa Monica-based film and television company nestled within the 20th Century Fox movie empire, is to add Paramount Pictures Tomb Raider movie sequel to its ongoing résumé. The Lara Croft video-game adaptation, which began shooting at London's Pinewood Studios in July, is helmed by Speed director and Blue Tulip boss Jan de Bont who will orchestrate Angelina Jolie and Chris Barrie in the second of three Tomb Raider motion pictures. Blue Tulip's recent accolades include Speed 2, Minority Report and Twister.
