DANIEL WU JOINS TOMB RAIDER MOTION PICTURE CAST

Into the Badlands star Daniel Wu will join the Tomb Raider motion picture cast, according to an exclusive report by Variety. The actor previously starred in Warcraft, based on the best-selling video game from Blizzard, and Into the Badlands, an American TV show produced by AMC Networks.

WALTON GOGGINS ATTACHED TO TOMB RAIDER REBOOT

Walton Goggins (Sons of Anarchy, Django Unchained, The Bourne Identity) is in talks to play opposite Alicia Vikander in Warner Bros, MGM and GK Films reboot of Tomb Raider, according to an exclusive from Variety. Norwegian film director Roar Uthaug will helm the third motion picture based on the best-selling videogame from Square Enix.

TOMB RAIDER REBOOT SCHEDULED TO RELEASE IN 2018

Warner Bros. and MGM have announced Alicia Vikander's Tomb Raider motion picture will release in theatres on March 16, 2018. According to Variety, MGM and Warner Bros acquired the rights from GK Films which had previously purchased the film rights in 2011 from Square Enix Ltd. Graham King is serving as producer.

Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina, The Danish Girl) will play Lara Croft in the upcoming MGM and GK Films Tomb Raider motion picture. According to Variety, Roar Uthaug (The Wave, Magic Silver) will helm the Tomb Raider reboot.

DAISY RIDLEY TO STAR IN TOMB RAIDER?

Daisy Ridley, the British star of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, has confirmed she's been in talks to star in a future Tomb Raider motion picture. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress said there had 'been conversations' about the role of Lara Croft. Last month Warner Bros. secured a Tomb Raider domain, leading to speculation the studio might be behind the reboot.
