56. Tomb Raider Chronicles - FRANCHISE PRODUCER DISMISSES THIRD PIC
Lloyd Levin says maybe, Chris Barrie says maybe, but franchise producer Lawrence Gordon has driven a final nail in the coffin of a third Tomb Raider motion picture during an interview on the set of Hellboy. I don't think the financiers will do it, he tells Sun Times. I don't think the last film did the business we expected. Of course, I'd love to do another one. Angelina Jolie is perfect as Lara Croft.

Chris Barrie, the British actor charged with the role of Lara Croft's fussing butler Hillary in Paramount Pictures Lara Croft Tomb Raider motion pictures, has added more fuel to the rumour of a third pic to complete the trilogy during a web chat with UK tabloid The Sun. Now I've done a big feature film - even though it was only a cameo role - I'm hungry to do more movies. My name is being talked about for various things and I am going for more auditions now. It's quite competitive when you see who you're up against - people like Rik Mayall and Neil Pearson. We're all going up for the roles of 'eccentric British comedy person'.
